Make sure he uses epoxy resin. Polyester doesn't work real well with the SMC bottom deck.Ya I got insurance. Some boat shop quoted me 800-1500 to fix it. I said thanks but no thanks, found a reputable glass guy to fix it for 200 bucks

If that part of the hull comes in contact with something again there's a good chance it'll peel right off. I would highly recommend calling your guy and tell him to hold off and use epoxy. For 200$ it's not worth it coming off.damn. I think he is using polyester. 3" long repair, not all that deep whats the worst that can happen with that
Wow, nice looking new ski!
I run mine at 40:1 instead of 50:1 as specified (I am not here to start an oil debate). Otherwise, just ride it and have a blast! Check over hoses, fuel lines, etc and make sure the battery straps are on securely.
I recommend wearing shoes of some type (wrestling or scuba booties are good) to avoid busting your shin on the rear of the deck if your foot slips.
Who did you insure through? That's a pretty good idea on a new ski, and the price is reasonable.I got insurance today too. $346 a year. I'm covered if it gets stolen or sunk…
Oh man Im tempted to just buy a new second one I hate being without the ski. shiiiiiiiiiiiiiitPicked one up for my wife yesterday. Taking it out tomorrow. Anything I should know besides running it rich and feathering the throttle?
