Probably wouldn't hurt to fly down to Florida and try out the Vision, KDX, and Freak at one time.
The short of it is this: Try as many as you can. It's impossible to predict what you'll like and the different hulls do ride very differently. People have all sorts of preferences. Some love the way a BOB hull rides, some hate it. Some hate the Q8 (I like riding it). Some people really dislike how a Freak rides.

I will say this, more people need to get out and try the Gen3. It's an absolute blast to ride. A lot of people who comment on how the BOB rides have never ridden the ski or have only experienced a Gen1.

Thats Awesome! Do you finally have a full carbon version available now? It was a real toss up between the Gen3 and your Vision, but I really wanted adjustable footholds after ridding my buddies XFS230 lbs here and the WCF vision makes me fly!

I ride a q8 sky and had tried a gen 2 glass and i noticed the bubble on the hull alot more. The gen 2 was not as stable at speed as the q8...... I wasnt not able to try a freak yet, but soon.
I am very happy with my purchase, But would reccomend trying different hulls. I wanna try a vision next and will fly to florida before i would order a hull.

i bought my bob having never rode one. customer service was excellent , it came on time , the price is right , it does all the tricks an eme , xfs , or any other short hull does

Find a freeride and throw a leg over a few skis.

What's wrong with your 08 Super Jet? You might be amazed what it could do if you spent your $5000 hull money on a nice motor. If you get an AM hull you're probably going to build a hopped up motor anyhow, try the motor first in the SJ. Refoam, re-enforce and see how you like it.

Flips is not everything you want your ski to do, trust me on that., but since you talking about flips, I flipped, I rolled, undeflip the crap of my bud ski this pasted weekend and all he has on his ski is Jetmaniac 714cc, stock pump with a hooker,bpipe, and bone Stock eletronics, how cheaper can you get? BTW I'm 230lbs
his hull is the -4 and he rides surf, he chase boats, he rides on choppy,
Take your time and fly down here to FL, to try some skis, we have freaks with 714cc, 760cc, ss850cc, 900cc, 1100cc and 1200cc, you can take your pick, and the beer is on us

Barrel Rolls are much more fun and you can do them on your SJ hull. Anybody can backflip with a short hull and enough power. Not so much a "Skill" to do them. (Dont get me wrong, it does take skill in timing the wakes right - but a person with little skill can pull a flip with the right setup). Learn to ride and push your hull to the limits. I know people who can back flip but cannot do a nose stab or a roll.
