My new reduction nozzle combined with the 84mm ring worked very well. My steer nozzle is so trashed. it has wicked turning but is beat to rat shiat. it broke again today in the shallows, my fault but still. it is hurting. I should be able to get the ATP nozzle from a guy i know. The wires and plugs worked great, no issues with that. the ski was running very well. Today where i rode we had a loose sandy beach and then about 10'-12' of beach stone. I used the beach tractor to push the ski up the sand and that worked really well, the loose potato size stone was another story. my buddies where eager to help me so i could post in the fail thread but i yell at them to leave me alone to see if it would make it thru and it did. i got the ski back to the trailer by myself with a bit of effort but not enough to work up a sweat. cool, it works. I am still waiting on my feather weight Lithium battery from scott but i think he is in vegas this week. soon.

I met with steveuk in a parking lot today and scored some atp. It is some good stuff and worked very well today at burlington beach. I used smaller stainless bolts and pressed out the atp extended metal bushing/spacer and pressed in a yamaha stock size. this allowed me to countersink the bolt and torque it tight without squashing the poly bushing. I need to grind a little on the pump for better cable clearance to take full advantage of how much this nozzle can go. Great looking part.

so yamanube goes and posts that pic and i been looking at them ugly hoses and of course i like it. my ski is not going to win any build awards.....
I have been using these air pipes and it works, but i can let water in if i am not careful with keeping the tray empty. not so great, but it hasn't swamped or choked the ski out, yet. I like the breather tubes in the pole, or in this case on the bottom of the pole. i am going to try one more thing maybe with my inlet piping to see if i can improve it or i may just try the tubes.

Today I am going to grind my reduction nozzle and wear ring so my steer cable clears a bit better. I also need to rework my turn plate. why doesn't someone make turnplates that mount the bars on the pivot point? way better i tell ya. so i will work on that and see if i can figure something out.

Well last night a few of the boys went to Pt. Maitland for some beers. We rode the skis and I got some video. Sorry, its pretty boring stuff, with being just some flatwater freeriding. While editing, I noticed how much the qualitly really drops as the sun goes down. I getting comfortable on the ski now and am having fun riding it. Scott did a great nut sacker jump right at the end. nice move scott.

finally paid for my steer nozzle that steveugay gave me months back. It is a great piece for making your ski turn fast. his payment plan is great. lol. Since my build i have almost lost a sponson but nothing a few selftappers don't hold on. The Shoria battery gets charged after every ride with a battery tender and usually gets left on float mode until morning. My steer plate is hacked but i got a stocker yesterday that i am going to mod to accept my risers and phat clamp. Motor has survived a major overheat running on amsoil Interceptor at 50:1. the 5-6 lbs hood is kickin ass and i modified the air ducts to keep the water out better. The non reinforced oem hull from 1996 is holding up very well and has taken some hard landings on wave days out on Lake Erie. It looks like it may survive the season. I still have not ordered my mag pump because i bought a truck instead. oh well. I will get the pump this winter so i have something to keep me interested.

Hmmm, It is the end of another great Canadian season here in Ontario. Well it is for me anyways. I have packed in my riding gear and am going to start to think about winter maint/mods. As I have posted a couple months back, My ski has been surviving "well". I had a pipe cooling line come off the pump when I was out at the end of the pier and when I got back to the launch, I had some overheating/melting issues I had to take care of. I managed to crack a sponson in half and therfore did a mid season repair on it. I had an issue the one day with my turnplate but that has been resolved, and I am happy with my steering mod. My motor is running strong and will get a leak-down test when I pull it. so...I guess this winter I am hoping to focus on my pump. I am thinking of buying a 155mm pump to stuff in either this ski or another project hull i have. I am still trying to decide which way to go with that. Some parts that I will be replacing will be my 550 gas tank. It has served me well but it is time to switch it for a cart tank. This sucks, but my tank doesn't hold pressure any more and I don't want to mess around with it. I'm going to rework my waterbox positioning slightly and replace the tube that runs from the waterbox to hull exhaust outlet. I really don't have that much to do under the hood from what I can tell. The pump inlet/fitting of a 155 pump will be the majority of the work. I have a nice new blowsion alum pump shoe that I am hoping to replace the cracked one I have been running with for a couple years now. I usually make the mistake of starting the mods to early and am sitting around waiting for the snow to melt so I can try the ski out. I am going to try and pace myself this year and spread it out a bit. I got a truck I can fix too this winter. Well fellow GTA'ers let the modding begin. I see some of you have a head start on me. haha.

Hey Jr, its not quite the wear ring style that i was looking for but the price is pretty good. I may be coming down to snag that off of you this weekend. shoot me your phone #.

you can never start to early ,get out the power tools and get started......
was thinking of doing the kart tank too but worried about run time.

haha true dat, we shall see what this week brings. I should tear down my ski first and that will get me committed to cutting into the hull.

ahhh man i missed the opportunity to come back with a D-Coc comment.....

i have been looking at some different tanks like the Jaz ones, they do an aluminum tank which is the same size as a 550 tank, the fittings would need to be swapped out but im considering getting on to see how they work out

ha, Its Dick-Rok, but D-Caulk is fine too. I yanked a bunch of stuff out of the ski tonight. I removed the broken pump shoe and slipped in the metal one I have. Looks like its going to fit real nice if I decide to use it. I should go get that pump of Jr. free so I can get a better picture of what I gotta do. My wife came in the garage and said it must be winter.
