it bolts right in. my rideplate even clears it already and so does my hull. I need to clearance for my steer cable and get that sorted out. I am also going to pop the midshaft off to see how centered it bolts in, as compared to my other pump. so far it slides right in and the rear shims appear to be the same. I am sure it will need a little tweaking but not much. I will hopefully start grinding and cutting the bottom this week. I gotta find my zip discs.

Know any other places that sell a 155mm pump like that? The GP1200 pump is 155mm but is a solid 1-piece unit which would be no good for us.

Edit: or am I mistaken. I haven't taken my GP1200 pump apart yet. is the pump the same as the SJ and the part that is different just the intake/shoe area?

I am not sure about all the different 155 pumps that yamaha has produced. mine is from a yamaha jetboat that had twin 1200 engines. I browsed ebay and seen alot of different variations. This one here bolts right in like the superjet pump once i removed the front piece of the pump that fits to the jetboat hull.

Alot of the pumps which include the tunnel will work. back out the four long pump bolts and the tunnel comes off the pump then cut the bolts flush once reinserted. You can then use a stock 155 pump seal with it. I used a raider pump but any older yamaha 155 pump should work my 2001 gpr won't because it's a one piece pump.

looks like gravity allows me to screw up one side so that tommorrow I can flip the ski over and screw up the other side in less time. always learn as you go people.

I think the fluctation of hulls has allowed me to devalue my superjet beyond my own imagination. I just layed up a few layers and will strip the form from the inside. After I repeat this process on the other side I can beef up the inlet from the inside of the hull. Once I have added the material on the inside oh the hull, I can grind and do my final shaping on the outide of the pump inlet. So far i have been able to open everything up to just above the 155 diameter to match my pump, but right now, there is not much left for final smoothing and shaping. know what i am sayin?
