HAHA on the abs nozzle extension! That's what it is.... It actually works very good, (came that way from previous owner) but I am going to get a real extended nozzle this winter along with trim. Stay on it with your hull mods. I might actually do a build / mod thread on mine when I get into it. It's nice to get some outside input sometimes. I'm still a noob, but am getting a feel of what I think it should do. But experienced input is highly respected for me still. Lovin your project dude! I'm also considering doing a nose / rocker mod too, but not too nuts. Still reading and thinking about that hack, but am into it.

I managed to do another layup on the tail section of the bottom deck. i think it will be strong enough now. i also epoxied in my foot supports. not much different looking but i will try and snap a pic.

Right on. Now I see what's gong on. Looking good! I was feeling mentally challenged yesterday, but today I have a few more brain cells kickin in and get it.

I'm going to try and cut down my sides a bit too. But I need to get the new footholds first to see how far I can take them down. (mine are trashed and so is my tray) Hoping to at least get them down to the rollover lip the turf goes to on the upper gunwhale. I don't even know what they are called. I've heard gunwhales, gunalls etc.. What the he77 are they called? I widened the tray up a bit last winter, but may widen it up more this winter. That will also depend a little on foot wells and side height. I have to say though, widening the tray was a HUGE improvement. It feels so good to get my feet further apart and helped riding a lot.

last winter i moved my xft foothold forward 2" and tryed to get them spread but their design left me little options. your look good. a wide stance would be a good thing imo

nice carbon work, was it alot harder than regular fiberglass? I'll be doing some reinforcement under my handle pole mount and the whole inside of the hull. I love the carbon look. Where did you get the stuff?

i got it from composite canada, carbon is nice to work with. it needs some love to make look good after you layup but if you have enough resin you can sand it smooth and buff it up nice.

I didn't make much process this week, kinda mad about it. on my second layup i added too much hardner, and it did not cure proper. I am debating if i should cut it out and redo that section. it holds its shape but it is not strong like it is suppose to be. anyways this is where i am, if it does firm up more today then i am pretty much ready to start putting my tray back together.

thanks, it seems to be working out well. I managed to stand in the tray with my feet in the holds for the first time. It feels good. I used some epoxy filler to fuse in the gaps of the tray. i will post up a pic in a few more hours when it sets.

here is a pic of some of the reinforcement. tommorrow i will grind off more paint and give another larger layup to help hide the patch that is going to be on the side of the ski over the seam.

so what i did in the rear section is this. i did the first layups to make the shape but all ontop of the bondline. today when bonding the two decks i layed 5 layers of carbon below the bondline and folded over and then under the footholds and it is now locked in and super strong.
