Wow, good find! Why does the pro watercross seem to think a 4-stroke superjet is coming this year? Have they actually confirmed this with yamaha?
They even have rules for it. page 46.

This section applies to the 4-stroke SuperJet scheduled for release in 2020. The watercraft will be allowed minimal modifications through the duration of the 2020 season to allow time to evaluate performance characteristics of the craft and allow development and manufacturing of parts so that there is equal access to any aftermarket part to all competitors. This watercraft will run in a separate class for the duration of 2020.
The rules were written in anticipation of the ski coming out. Last i heard was late spring early summer (if this is real) who really knowsWouldn’t the ski have to already be out for the 20’ season at this point?
I just put my deposit on a 2021 super jet todayhttps://watercraftjournal.com/did-yamaha-australia-just-let-slip-a-major-spoiler-for-2019s-lineup/

I’ve talked to several people that claim the same thing and say “4 stroke” but know nothing more. Details? Price?I just put my deposit on a 2021 super jet today
Easter Bunny on Line 2 is holding for you.......Tell Santa you have to go.I’ve talked to several people that claim the same thing and say “4 stroke” but know nothing more. Details? Price?
Nothing official released. I would be completely shocked if it did not have the TR-1 Motor. IF the size was not between the current SJ and the 1500 SXR. So, In the low 400 lb or upper 300's.I’ve talked to several people that claim the same thing and say “4 stroke” but know nothing more. Details? Price?

The new Superjet is just what I've been waiting for!
I've always thought my superjet was too small / light and I've had too much time on my hands from it not breaking enough. I'm looking forward to oil changes, adjusting valve lash, 3x expensive rebuilds, expensive and complex direct injection that's almost impossible to diagnose or tune without Yami computer. Any more advantages?
At least Greta will be happy.
All joking aside, it will be really sad to see the last 2 stroke ski die off and new parts eventually become more expensive / discontinued.
