glad all the nj guys seem to have made it through somewhat alright,,,less some property damage..you guys should be watching all the insurance aucs up there the next few months there are going to be some UNREAL deals on cars,trailers and boats up there. I get slammin deals on all kinds of stuff at the auctions after a good size storm hits here

They may be good deals but most have been pounded by saltwater.

Sad to see all of the destruction, at least there were not more injuries/deaths. On a lighter note I saw an article on people calling out the "Jersey Shore" cast to help out Seaside since that town made them rich.

I'm glad people are posting pictures because honestly the media does such a ty job of reporting (OBAMA VISITS RED CROSS, ROMNEY DONATES FOOD) and I don't really get to see the pics of the devastation.

This picture has been all over Alaskan's facebook pages all day..really trending up here

But of course we're a region that is relatively unpopulated and built to withstand the worst conditions. So simply we are used to this kind of thing.

I had 1 huge tree up root and fall across my driveway. Chimney hat blew off and broke out concrete. Still have no power. Atleast cable is back on. Put lots of hours on generator. We're very luck compared to others.

All I can say is wow, pretty serious stuff. The images of boats in places they are not supposed to be tells the story. But when I see pics of people's homes flooded, that is gut wrenching.

Behind my house, 400ft to ocean. NJ

MB oceanfront looking towards Sea Bright, note building blocking only highway in. Sea Bright was wiped FLAT, I dont think a single structure survived. Huge 15' tall x 50'wide seawall was the only reason my neighborhood has houses standing, although the 30' waves still went right over it.

Beach clubs wiped off the map. Unknown damage to high rise condos.

4miles long gas lines on BOTH north and South side of the parkway. People will be shooting each other over gas very soon. I have already seen fist fights in gas lines.
