I really dig the two colors for when you use two pieces of turf. It looks amazing. Purple would work with my black turf, but I don't know how it'd hold up. Even with molded diamond, where the front of my ankle contacts the hold, the turf was starting to show some wear after a season. So Idk how cut would work.

Side note: I wish hydroturf made black and purple two tone. If they already have black and purple, can't they just make it? It'd be so sick.

Here's my surf stance foothold modded with padding out of a regular foothold.
I was too lazy to returf the whole tray just for a new rear hold, figured I'd try this first. I love it

How much padding do you have in the footholds under your feet?

26mm top and bottom then another 26mm in the back of the tray and around the sides of my feet with a bout 1/2 inch add to the back part that surrounds my heel. They were to tight on the stand. I didnt think i would be able to add my turf layer. So I took it to the water and tried them out after they get wet you slip in much easier. I'm glad I made them to tight. I wear a 10.5 or 11 and might not put turf where the tops of my feet hit. Do people do that it seem like the turf will rub the tops of my feet raw? @Sanoman

If you using footholds, shoes are a necessity. Get some wrestling shoes.

Damn, clean edge man. Superfreak holds? To get a finish like that are you leaving excess turf on top and bottom, glueing em together then sanding down? Clean!

Yes,they are SF holds! Exactly,l use a olfa blade to trim and then 60 grit and then finish with 180.i do a lot of bevel ing and rounding of the edges too

Sano...

Finally finished mine too. I like the two piece foothold application better than wrestling with one piece and hoping for no wrinkles. It's a bit more time consuming to make it pretty but I think its worth the time to save the stress.

Wow @pabloescobar. That turned out amazing!
So where exactly are your seems then? In the last picture, does the top piece of turf partially go into the rear of the hold? I can't tell. It'd be awesome if you could take a pic of inside of the hold near the rear so you can see.
