I'd rather ride her dirty than not ride her at all ;)

You have a beautiful hull and lots of nice new parts. You will have the motor out again. Just wipe it down while you have it put and the pipe off. I usually use wd40 ater a salt ride and its amazing the difference between spray and wipe vs just spray. (I am looking for a better product).

Its a change in mentality when i went from a busted ass warrior 350 to my mint condition yfz450. I understand where you are coming from but you dont have an old beater square anymore. It deserves a little extra love.

Mist the engine bay with wd40 once a week and close the hood. The pic of the motor in the hull was at 105 tanks saltwater use. Pulled the engine last month and not too shabby. I find less crap smeared everywhere makes it easier spotting problems and wrenching in general.

That didn't work out so well. I used the 3 inch coupler towards the rear exhaust, and I guess it was at too steep of an angle and wasn't secured well enough.. Because it blew right off and luckily I was on the trailer otherwise my ski woulda sunk.

It's an open bulkhead. But now I'm going to stuff it full of as many pool noodles as possible and install my retriever

Okay so I'm having an issue. Stock everything for ignition. Set Stator to stock marks.. Didn't change anything this time around except my waterbox and hoses.
When my hose came off it was from a backfire. And I've started it up over 10 times. Well, I took it back in the shop and I had the hood on, and it backfired really hard. Started it up a other 5 times and no backfire. Why the hell would it be backfiring???

Starts up in a second of being on the button. Is it possible that this hose I was using was at too much of an angle and the restriction was creating too much back pressure?

Yes I pulled the flywheel. Ski runs great when it's started up, and starts easy. But it's backfired twice out of about 30 start ups

That section was from the long exhaust tube to the waterbox.
