Super Jet Frosty's '98 dismantle and 2010 Freeride Superjet Build

Well at wave daze i bought a JK hood and home made carbon nose piece there all sanded ready for paint. Got a set of foot holds and total modified them so they come over your foot more like RRP holds, reinforcing front and rear cause when you saw it, it was 02 stock with home made lifter blocks. Pat and I just fitted the thrust scupper i got, i had a bunch of cosmetics I had to fix also, and to inserts for the ride plate were messed up so those will be in monday. I haven't figured out paint yet but bright orange is going to be one color, was thinking blue or silver for the other not sure .

Sounds awesome Chris! looks like the entire WNY crew is building skis this year. I'm partial to orange, but it's getting more popular so my new ski is going to stay Yamaha blue for a year... while I decide on my new color.

Going with a front strap, as well as a front Caker foothold... just so i can mix it up. I installed 4 SS plate with acorn nuts welded to them - epoxied them from under the tray so the acorn nuts stick through. Less obtrusive that way... and I know they won't pull out. I installed them so i have a variety of placement angles for surf stance, so I can find my sweet spot. Also poly foamed my tray area, and panel fused the tray in place... next step - glass the tray in... then install footholds.

Just gave me a couple ideas before I glass my tray back in! Nice build.

Thanks bro... glad I could inspire some more ideas for people.

here's another one... went with an internal fuel filler on my old ski, but filled in the external gas cap area. Not this time. Kept the internal fuel filler, but used the oem fuel filler to make a storage compartment to keep my cash and stuff...

cheap and simple... furnco fitting attached to fuel filler... 2" PVC and plumbers end cap... cost about $6.
