you kill me with these same ole same ole posts you make. There is nothing misleading coming out of guys sharing info on builds from Art,and TS.They are a long way from low end. Are carbs REALLY just part of the whole package to get a boat to run its best....wow dude how enlightening.

scott...the grey is the things not talked about, not the obvious lol. Ive not seen anyone say tnt give no low end, just how much more than a b pipe to justify the cost associated.atomization would be the same between fs 46 and 48 but I think there would be some people here that would want to hear what you think about it.

When someone gets info from a builder and just regurgitates it but swallows part of back and then tries to regurgitate the info not all of it comes out. So it is easy for someone to give out misleading info. They think they know what they are talking about but because they do not actually understand what the port angles really do, they just spit out the numbers to sound knowlegdeble when in fact all they are doing is just puking.

See, isn't the internet a wonderful thing. Retosud and I are now back on each other's xmas card list. (if you are Jewish or anything else, I mean no disrespect)

The reason I am so adamant about my position is I had pretty much the same set up in my SuperJet. 701, 62t/61x, Great Head with 175psi and good old factory b pipe with fx1 chamber. The ski race very good with 38s. It was what I would call adequate. When I switched to larger Full Specs with Ed's recommended manifold and reeds (this was before the Boyesen mani/reed set up) there was no comparison in terms of performance, bottom to top. The OP is running nearly 20 more lbs of compression than I was, but is running an R&D pipe. Those pipes are actually pretty close in terms of power down low to a b pipe. Where the b pipe shines in the upper rpm range and tuneability of the head pipe. So, I do not think it is a stretch at all to say the OPs purchase will be anything but better performing than what he originally had.

I guess I could have explained it a little better. But, what fun would that be? Either way, it is all good.

muslim btw.nah, just kidding.not that there's anything wrong with that mind you.
wew!almost got busted by the PC police.
the disclaimer is in fine print on the reverse side of this thread.

gil, i think you'd be better off with a single 28mm from a 300sx on your 838.just my opinion.:swordfight:
but i know you're trying hard to be one of the cool kids here so do as you wish.:djsmilie:

If you will get 2 more people to say it's the best, then I will do it!!! HAHAHAHAHA LOL LOL LOL

And if Chuckie says it's the best, then hot dam-I am all over it like stink on shyt!!!! LMAO

well seeing how good you are at tuning i don't doubt for one minute that the cans will work fine.
i think gil has it right with the cool aspect of this sport enticing people into buying parts that won't necessarily hurt the performance but may not help it either.the bang for the buck is not always at the rendez-vous point unfortunately.
plenty if peeps have run into that but pride will not allow us to say such and such part didn't do chit, especially after blowing a bunch of $$$
scottie, your boat is a far cry from what the op has so your experience with bigger this or bigger that might not necessarily apply to him.i don't doubt you felt better performance on your combo but it may not apply to all on this forum.
no anger here btw.all is good and nothing like a good disagreement to get things moving in the morning.[/QUOTE]

I am not even going to tell you what came to mind when I read this..........

LOL

SM

You 2 are making me sick!!! One is scared and the other one is dam glad of it!!! Now quit having make up sex and get out the dam boxing gloves already!!!

this thread is way past the ops ? Everyone knows 38s can be outdone very easy, the comparison made was 44s and 46s being just as good as 48s on a small cc bpipe lim setup.they have very good response, and if the 48s make a 100 more rpm most of us would never see it up top anyway,no need to 38 the spec for wavedaze lol

I have some mrd injection which will be killer if you want it

I can top your MRD FI, I decided screw carbs and injection-I stuck crammit under the hood of my ski with the 3rd channell of my MSD hooked up and the 3rd spark plug tied to his cod sack. After he gets hit by the fire he pours some fuel in the intake!!!

LMAO

I certainly dont doubt scottie found more power with his setup with 48s why would anyone bs about something like that. But that ski has god only knows how many gray areas for spec, and with its pipe setup alone is way diff than the op ...it should be named gray matter.lol

Gill you touched on something that makes the diff,as freeriders we pass the info around on building setups, that in imho is the # 1 reason it grows as fast as it does.there are a few tools here that have nothing better to do than argue this info, but for the most part we are better for it. Racers are crazy competitive and secretive about everything to gain a inch. Theres no way you will ever find out how any of them get any part to produce more power, just tid bits of info that mean nothing with out the rest.Ask a freerider for his timing curve or porting specs and pics and its no big deal,I have tons of it from others here, try asking a racer or race engine builder for that same info and watch for the look.........In our world the $ is in the work,in the racer world the $ is in the secret.thats why team scream does so well, art also, ask them anything and you will get the "complete" right answer.

I have to say I love reading torr's post. I think I pissed myself every time

I still get a kick out of wavedaze.
1)When you said what do you mean its a spec boat it hits harder than a big bore teamscream motor

2) was this is the hardest hitting ever. 2hrs later you say race porting sux

I want to try bigger carbs. For some reason at the end of my build Art decided that 44s would be better then 46s on my 4mm BB... They run great but i just always think about the 46s...lol

Gill is right this is a bandwagon sport

The proof of that is you can buy a type nine pipe out the forsale section for $200 every one will agree a b-pipe is better
But everyone will also tell they would buy a power factor pipe for 1400 if they had the money.

No better proof than that!!! LOL I could have stolen a Baxter pipe but did not because I hated it. It made awesome power, just awesome power in all the wrong places for my liking and I did not want to spend a year trying to figure out how to make it work for my liking. I spent a year F'ng with TNT's and to this day hope I never see another one because after I gave up I accidentally figured out how to make the dam things work!!! F a TNT!
The TNT made me feel like a complete moron once accidentally dialed in. LOL
