Ive really been considering picking up a 3" GP100 when I get my tax returns. What size is yours and how do you like it?

4.25" stainless with the Hogue grip from Ruger and a Williams hi-viz sight on the front. I absolutely love it! When shooting using the double action, the trigger
pull is stupid long and hard. If you cock the hammer and then pull, the trigger is real smooth and light. The recoil with fairly hot 357 loads in minimal and there
is less than 0 recoil when shooting 38special.

My best friend just bought a Sig Sauer P229 in .40 cal. I cannot say enough good things about this gun. If you have the means, I highly suggest picking one up. I was amazed at how good it shoots being a .40 cal. Accept no substitutes!

I should also mention that the P229 is available in Sig .357. That's a .40 cal shell and powder pushing a .357 bullet. I haven't shot one in .357, but in .40 cal that gun is SWEET.

I am a Big fan of the 1911, I used to have a matched pair of Colts. I got rid of them because I felt I did'nt train with them enough to be able to safely and effectively deploy them,"cocked and locked" SA only needs to be praticed in my opinion. Switched to a matched pair of CZ P-01's in 2006. Beretta 92FS is a fine piece but the exposed barrel and therefore rails can be an issue as the boys working in the "sandbox" found out.

only problem w berettas in the desert were the crappy mags....like as in wr500 crappy

you carry BOTH the cz's at the same time? nice.

Bought this little gym a few months back. I let my dad hold on to it tho I already had a carry gun. Found it in the .357 with wood grips. Awesome round and the gun is super accurate. I love it

I've had a few. I had a ruger 9mm, a sig .357 pistol(rare and freakin cool, dura coated digital desert camo) a Taurus .357 revolver snub nose small frame 5 shot(carry gun) and a Springfield .40 cal. The .357 revolver hurts to shoot after a bit unless I put .38's in it. It's reliable and barely notice it while carrying. My ruger 9 was a great gun. Nice weight and again, reliable. My sig .357 despite how cool it looked was disappointing. Bullets were expensive when I had it and I'm sure they're higher now. It wasn't accurate. But was purchased used so I'm not positive of the issue. My Springfield..... Is AWESOME. For the price, it's great. I picked mine up new (it was at my local pawn shop and they were trying to move it) for $415 out the door. It's just the XD, not xdm. It's accurate and feels great in my hands. It's the full size pistol, as I have big hands. I waited a few years and finally pulled the trigger on the xd40 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Just my .02 cents on the handguns I've personally owned/own. Nice guns guys !!!

I have'nt tried CC with them, I carry them both when training and "geared up". I had them "matched" by a gunny freind, all parts as close to the same weight as he could and all springs are "matched". He said they required "very minimal work" which is good. I also had the "Omega" triggers worked because of they are "self working" triggers and require significant breakin, they were good new but get better with time and use, and I did'nt want to hassle with the rd count. A nice pair to fall back on when i try to insert my rifle mag upside down during drills :frown:. Not trying to argue here, but mags were'nt the only issue with the M9 in service at the time, very nice pieces overall and definately should be considered for purchase by a person whose hands fit it well.

Finally topped off my collection this past weekend, S+W 500.. Definitely not my edc! I usally cc a glock 19 in the winter months and switch to a lc9 or lcp during the summer.

Any 1911 fans in here. Just looking for opinions and thoughts. Probably next on my list and everything I hear about them is incredible

1911's are awesome! I have a Colt series 70 and would highly recommend it. Kimbers are very nice as well.

Is that a Burris 2-7x 32mm plex scope? If so, that is what I mounted on my Super Blackhawk Hunter and I LOVE IT!!!

I got to play with a S&W500 mag with a 8.375" barrell today. Sweet gun with one hell of a punch!!! My opinion is that he who owns a 500mag rules the world!!! lol

Yes. Burris 2-7x32.. I am concerned how it will hold up after 40-50 rounds. Just curious to see if it can standup to that kick..Fingers crossed.

I talked to the folks at Burris before I bought mine and they talked a good game. The great news IS, it don't matter if you are the 50th non registered owner of the scope-run it over with your car and trash it, mail it to Burris, and they fix it or send you a brand new scope for the price if shipping ONLY!!!

On a side note-they really are some pretty smart people and great with customer service!!!

Just got back from the range. I put 50 rounds through an H&K 45 in addition to 100 rounds thru my Ruger. That was the first 45 I have had the chance to fire and it didn't kick near as bad as I thought it would. My 9mm felt like a cheap peashooter after that though.

It just goes to show that a cheap gun is cheap and there is no substitute for a well made gun. The balance is better, the kick is less and it's so much easier to be accurate. Looking forward to cycle thru the rental guns and try different ones with each visit.

I may have to change my plans and scrap the LC9 idea entirely, downgrade my SR9 to a CCW and upgrade to a 1911 for home defense and range.
