I discovered gunbot.net this weekend. Awesome website for finding the best deal on ammo at any given time!

http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/rifle/223/

So far High Country Ammunition has the best deals on brass cased ammo and even with higher than normal shipping rates, they beat every deal I have found to date. Watch for their 24hr sales. Jan 3rd deal was for 500 rounds of brass cased .223 delivered to my door for $204.

5.56 is popping up again too.

My next project now will be to build some outdoor target stands. Thinking of doing something to hold a paper target and then some alternate self resetting steel targets. Open to ideas.

They are doing a major revamp to the Richmond Hill outdoor range so I have a few weeks to figure something out.

I actually saw some of those recently and planned to pick one up. Wasn't sure about possible ricochet and ranges not allowing them.

I have one I use on private property and from my experience (take it for what its worth) when you hit it with .45 or .40 it flattens fmj out a little bit and the bullets are found a couple feet behind the target, .223/5.56 and 5.7x28 just splatter upon impact

Any lefties out there that need a holster for a hk usp? I have a brand new uncle mikes kydex holster for a southpaw that I need rid of. 10 bucks plus shipping. Should fit in a small flat rate box.

I put my AR plans on hold for a bit. I really need to pull myself out of the rut I'm in and reclaim my health and wellness. I've let work, life and stress get the better of me the last couple years and all the things I enjoy in life are suffering. My current plan is to reward myself with the AR when I reach my fitness goal but I'm hoping that by the time I do, I have rediscovered my passion for riding and I'll be too busy jetskiing to even think about an AR.

Good for you working towards a and then rewarding yourself. But you could get the ar and start doing 3 gun with it. I think that involves running. I have a guy bringing me a browning buckmark tomorrow to cjeck out so I may have a new target pistol tomorrow.

I could but I figured it was a good way to set a goal. I really don't need an AR either, it was something I dreamed up to fill a void that was left when I got too fat and lazy to ride. Riding leads to wrenching, wrenching leads to less down time, less down time leads to less eating and spending on useless things.

As far as I know, there are no places to train for 2 or 3 gun in my area. They do open up one of the law enforcement training sites twice a year for events but that doesn't help me the rest of the year.

I bet it shoots great but that Buckmark is one of the ugliest guns I have ever seen.

My dad is very partial to ruger and loves his mark 2 target pistols but the guy I work next to says the buckmark is way better. Im not sure which is better havin never shot either. All I know is if I get it its getting the barrel threaded asap and will end up being a squirrel pistol.

The Ruger is a great shooter and from what I hear, the Buckmark is at least equal to the Mark 2. My buddy has one in blue and gold and it is truly hideous. He has offered it to me many times now and I keep turning it down.

So I picked up the buckmark this morning and immediately took it out back andbshot 10 rds thru it into the gutters of thebbuilding next door. Good shooting gun I think it may be akkeeper. Hideous gold trigger though. May end up dura coating the whole gun.

First thing to do on the Buckmark is polish the hell out of the slide, do the "hagus flip" to the trigger and oil the piss out of it. I found that after about 100rds they start to have FTF and FTE issues. They are damn accurate though.

Cool. I am taki g the barrel in to the gunsmith is tomorrow to get it threaded for my supressor and then im going to look into a dovetailed sight strap so I can put a small scope on it .I was surprised that it would feed aguila colibris if I cycled the slide so I can shoot all day at work when it slows down .will look up those trigger mods tonight while its apart

Went to the gun shop and got to see the gunsmith in action moving the sight back on my buckmark and getting ready to thread it. Then on the way home I picked up a kahr cm9 in trade so I have another new toy to try out this week. Im lookin to have a pistol for each of my vehicles I can leave in there and not be out a ton of money if it gets taken.
