No @Peter123, I was cleaning up my email the other day and found the confirmation email dated 2/24. I was like "oh.... Damn."

For some reason I thought I was farther along. It'll probably be fall before they are released I figure.

Well, if you go pick it up in Austin, it will be a good time to swing into Franklin BBQ or La Barbecue while you are there.

Not even close. Granted it takes some odd sidebars but they are at least positive, often enlightening and at least somewhat gun related.

What are the specs on that revolver BK? Looks like a classic.

I thought this tread was about handguns. I see OT threads still go OT just like backichan threads!!!!!!!!!

I didn't start this thread though... The chances of it not getting locked are way higher for that reason alone.

X2 on the wheel gun info. I had no idea what it was so I didn't know what to say, other than the grips look super small.

Looks to be produced in the late 1800's. .38 Caliber. Hammerless, has a grip safety.......... AKA Lemon Squeezer. Found this when my parents moved last week. Have not had any more time to research. Have a .32 also that does have a hammer. but it is in sad shape.

Unfortunately not yet but I am getting closer. Hopefully I will be caught up enough on inventory in the next couple weeks to get into new projects soon.

I am set to change up my handgun inventory in the next month as well. Selling my Ruger SR9 and Beretta 92 to get a 1911 and a Beretta 92 INOX.

I'm finally giving in and trading the Beretta back to it's original owner so he'll stop bugging me about it. He was in a bind for funds so I bought it to help him out and he wants it back. It's been fun sending him random pics of it in different places in my home for the last year.
:D

The 1911 will be my first .45CP. I already have the dies, 1000 primers and about 500 brass for so I ordered 500 plated 230gr bullets in anticipation. Should have everything but the time now.

My Parents just moved. one of the rules is no guns!!!!!! (It a retirement community, they moved on the 4th floor of the "Apartment" building). He has some kind of Ruger 9mm Auto that was my Uncles and also a US Airforce Issue 1911 that he was given, I have told him I wanted the 1911. dont have my grubby paws on it yet!!!!!!!!! I will take the Ruger as well, but not as excited, even though it is 14 years old and I do not think ever been fired!.

I didn't realize there was such a difference between the compact and full sized versions.

As far as magnesium goes for a lower I think its a waste of money. Good forged aluminum lower and you will be fine. I built my last three lowers but have yet to do an upper since its cheaper to buy complete from stag for the left handed uppers I get. I am going to build a complete pistolupper here in a few weeks just to see what all goes Into it. Headspace gage is something I need to get ordered but other than that I have all the other tools.
