All you have left is fuel lines and primer lines??? You better either stay up late or get up early to finish that thing and get it on the water!! If you're ready to ride tomorrow I'll make sure I'm available to ride also! Surf is flat but whatever

ha...my bad

I meant next weekend...

still waiting on some interim registration numbers to come in before I put it in the water...

I am probably going to have some graphics made up in the near future

for now...just numbers and stickers

TEST RIDE/ BREAK IN:

there's a waterway near the shop that's heavily patrolled and i dont want any bad rap for standups so I need to be totally legal before I drop her in

still need numbers#, and long tank strap, fuel lines, primer lines, zip tie all wires...etc...

bilges are working...

after break-in...i will glass in my foot strap and lay the final padding/ turf in the tray

AND

figure out my tension issue...i put a PVC tube over the spring and it was much better...i will figure out a solution this week...

i only did this for sizing purposes...i would be much easier if I can just slip something over it that will stay until the winter

FUEL LINES HELP PLEASE...Sunday mother's day@ 12:30pm East

at the shop right now...i looked at a bunch of diagrams this morning but must have got them crossed

my buddy's ski is here but he has dual 46's using 2 separate pulse lines

I have stock 38's so they are a bit different

i need help running these lines please

Dual fuel pick up from the tank...No reserve, No fuel selector

Do I use both pulse lines from the manifold or do I block one off?

or

Do i 'T' the pulse fittings?

build#14 001.jpg build#14 004.jpg

Here's the current set up...

Do I have the lines correct?

It seems that I dont have a 2nd pulse inlet on the slave carb

I am searching for more diagrams now and looking at tec faqs

Put a vacuum cap over the other pulse fitting on the cases, you don't need it. The way your lines are marked is correct.

Just make certain that you can blow thru the slave from inlet to outlet, sometimes the return orfice will corrode shut. Single pickup from tank, single return.

All lines are working.

I actually used both FUEL lines with new inline fuel filters and used a y-connector to reduce it down to one

I now have the 2 lines coming off the tank, into 1 going into the fuel line of the rear carb.

I got the ski started tonight so I hope that's ok to run the 2 lines into one???

That should be OK for the pickup lines.

EDIT: NEVERMIND. You capped the extra pulse line. All good

SKI IS RUNNING PEOPLES!!!

I had and electrical issue once I got the lines in. It would not start...I mean NOTHING...

all connections were good...battery good

I double checked my connectors and noticed that JSS had 2 wires turned around coming off the stator...brown was going into black

I rewired the quick disconnect and BAM...Maverick engaged!!

The anti-gravity battery is strong...I watched the fuel go through the lines..put a couple drops directly into the carbs

about 10 secs later...she started right up...I only ran it for about 3 seconds before shutting her down since she was not hooked up to water...

MOTOR FEELS STRONG

I was at the shop all weekend so I am beat... I am kicking back with a beer and the puppy...GF is happy...ski will be in the water this week hopefully

Life is good

I'm out....pics up tomorrow night

The side tank straps to the battery would not get close enough. It worked on my last ski but not the Freak...the Freak has 3 layers of hydroturf on that side and I dont want to pull it off.

The large strap with a knot worked pretty well but the smaller strap.

I wrote down the measurements on a 3x5 but i cant find it. I want to say that the long strap was around 26 inches(metal to metal) and the smaller strap that goes to the battery was around 18 inches( metal to metal)

Edit:

Here are the sizes:

Long- 26 inches metal to metal...23.5 inches black strap only approx

Short- 18 inches metal to metal...16 inches black strap only approx

Do they make a strap size in between those two?

I would just use the RES (reserve) pickup on the tank and cap the other one.

air blair

you are the reason

X2 thats what i do. It has enough fuel.

me again....just a comment .............water lines and and zip ties had me in big trouble a few years ago...even on the inlet side, which is suppedly the cold side of the system..if you running quite hot the zip ties get loose....worse still if you kill the motor whilst riding the hot water runs back out the inlet side toward the pump and if you fire up hard straight after, the hot water plus loose calble ties and the pressure from the pump blows the pipe off at the weakest link....normally at the bulkhead.. big problem sinking ski and no water in engine either bad combo.........so now I use the stainless steel clamps only....else all good hey nice job

x2...totally agree

its on my checklist of things I need to button up this week...i ran out of SS clamps but am ordering some today

Here's my to do list:

SS hose clamps
long tank strap
blowions flush kit- taper ends
install stickers/ numbers
break in/test ride
new plugs after break in
retorq ADA head
need a charger
vin number
cut hood hoses down
intake grate install
ride plate install
adjust rear trim settings
fill rear trim tube with silicone + dust cover
rear strap placement
glass in inserts for rear strap
grind down chin pad since it doesnt fit they way i would like
tensioner for pole...

just really odd and ends...easy stuff compared to the last few months

Sounded like she started right up. I have never had a new engine start as easy as this one. Can't wait to hear how she runs.

Did you advance your timing at all?

Not at all...standard marks

but the entire ebox setup was done by JSS...i had to finish up a few things but I made sure everything was good to go

I think the most credit has to go to Jetmaniac...

It's very well built...I added a nice OEM starter and a nice Bendix just to be safe...he also has the carbs dialed in...

only took about 10 secs for it to fire up...the motor is strong

I think as a whole, everything is working well together.

I want no worries this summer if I can help it.
