Can any of you guys who posted in here share some advice and pictures of your setup. I am in the same predictament as most of you. Ive been a kawi guy but owned yamahas and still own 4 of them.
I had a motor built up in Oregon by a Very Reputable Builder Chris Newmiller. Motor is well built and I kept it a single 46mm for freestyle purposes (I know dual would have made
Much more power). I thought I could do the unheard of and actually try to freeride it. Well I was mistaken......it's been very difficult to ride in the New Jersey Surf/Chop. It's almost like riding in a Number #2 pencil as a tray.
Point is my Little Built Single Carb Setup hits Great. Hits a lot harder than a few SJ's I rode with heads and pipes.
My Setup Current 763cc
-92 Low Port Timing Cylinders
-Big Pin Ported Cases
-Reeds , stuffer, Basket Porting
-26.3cc Milled Head 180psi pump gas (93)
-Lightened Flywheel
-Freestyle Porting
-Factory Pipe w/ Port Matching
-Skat C-75 9/17 Swirl w/ pump cone, Bored 82mm reduction Nozzle.
I have a lot of money into the Above ^ so my argument to all my friends that never owned a built kawi ( hence they like the motor but hate the hull...they have Aquabots and a Rickter ) is why would I sell my Kawi Setup which everything in there in brand new including new crank topend oem seals wear collar ect..... For pennies on the dollar because "Kawis are not popular" for somebody's Unknown Limited Setup out of their Yamaha ???????????
I've talked to Tony at Tigercraft, He's awesome ...I expressed a lot of interest in a bot for the 2015 Season. I'm keeping my options open, but Tony is only 30mins away and I'm a Local Guy. I'd love to support a local Builder. Maybe I can talk to him
About the Kawi Motor in a Yamaha Based Hull w/ my Yamaha Full Mag Pump.
It just sucks being on the other side of the fence not knowing what to do and it can really stress me out when I think about it.
