If you ask me, if your gonna build a motor for looks and something you can open up and be proud of at a show. Go Xscream.

If you want something that is going to destroy anything else.... and mostly likley look close to "stock"

Art came up with a great 4mm stroker package at a really good price. Do a search back to around 2006. Crammit and some of the Georgia guys were running them. I have ridden Crammits and it ran really good.

I would love to ride a ts 865 or 1000 motor. I rode a DASA 8 mill stroker 1000cc with t/l,mag pump etc etc and was not blown away by it. It ripped but for the price seemed silly. Seems ts is a more popular motor choice.

just my .02 cents

I traded a spare MSD for the Advent straight across so I figured I'd try it out. I'm going to break it in with an Enhancer and then swap to the Advent later. My little Deka ETX-9[B/] batteries won't drive the advent for more than 3-4 hrs with multiple starts and dual bilges.

Did you run the advent with the DEKA ?

I'll have my 8 something motor soon enough. After all, my little baby scream will need a new top end sooner or later (the wife actually bought that line. HA) but cases will remain the same.
Should I be concerned about the epoxy that's in there now for over 2 years ?

I'll be curious to see how it held up. 2 years should be fine. But I plan on getting 6++ years out of my big CC motor.....maybe 8 to 10 even...and I can't imagine epoxy in cases lasting that long. And if thats the case I don't want it..

Your crank won't hold up 8 to 10 years with that kind of power...you'll probably have to rebuild every 3-4...with a new crank, bore and top end....Just because of the huge increase in power stressing everything. :smokin:

I know that 2 years is nothing and I'm sure 6++ won't be an issue either.
You should call and talk to Chucky, ask him about what and where the epoxy is applied, you might be more at ease.

As for your original question.
Yep, I'm the same way.

My bike sits under a cover and all I can think of is finding a sucker that will give me cash for it, cash that I would run right over to Clearwater and exchange it for Scream bling.

My car has been sitting for over 5 months with a miss in one cylinder. Just can't get motivated to do anything about it yet I managed to install a complete central heating setup on my ski so I could ride in cold Daytona.

A little while ago I decided to install a ritzy sound system in my car, figured it would take my mind off skis. Yep, that didn't work.
I have a sub enclosure that never got finished, an amp that is still sitting in the box and door trim that's still in pieces.

Oh, I wanted to get back into racing cars. Started buying up a bunch of parts and gear, than Sunday came along and I went riding my ski instead.

Nope, just going by what Chuckie told me.

Got ya.
Still like to try it. The Energizer bunny has nothing on them little DEKAs.

Even if that was true...I don't want to deal with re-epoxying cases along with those things.

When I did my cases I used medical grade prosthetics epoxy.... Yea. The stuff they use to fuse to bone. I figure if that lasts....

Matt - I don't remember the details of your bad epoxy experiences (I know you've written about them before), so I have a question. Were any of those cases done by a pro-shop?
