Would anyone be interested in being a tester and having a 60lb VE resin infused hull and hood made for 2 grand? Daytona is comin up fast and I would like to have several there.

Dang. Make it $3,000 so I don't feel as bad about saying no. Too many skis right now. I'd love some more details though. What midshaft and driveshaft, did the adjustable 0 to -6 rideplate or hull extensions work, bolt up SJ pump or is an additional wear ring needed, SJ intake grate?

Fx midshaft and shaft. The intake and tunnel are from 144 superjet so intake and pump are 144. Rideplate is fx. The hull shortening is done on almost every new hull out recently. I think providing 3 setups allows for stock, one to mod to experiment and the last one is for the best length after you cut the 2nd one all up in the search for the best length for you

I may have made a mistake in not explicitly stating the hull will be glass. while there are some vinylester resins that can be used with carbon, they are nearly the same cost as epoxy and nearly as good. so it makes little sense to not use epoxy with carbon.

this hull will be glass. it will be slightly heavier than the carbon hull I made. this is an attempt to get as many hulls out before daytona so that they can be tested and hopefully with feedback changes can be made of if not needed I can focus on other aspects and projects.

sorry if that was misleading as the first hull was made from carbon.

A few fx guys rode the ski the plug was made from last year and gave it the thumbs up, so I can only imagine that a lighter than stock weight will be more fun than the stock hull+all the grafts(tray, tubbies, shave nose, pump install, wider rails) I will try to get a weight on that hull as it is now being used to build the carbon hull. I have been waiting til it was complete to start this but at the pace its going I will miss Daytona this year for any other hulls. So im sucking it up and throwing it out there to get some hulls under some feet and get this going, finally!

That's awesome Tom!! a few extra pounds doesn't hurt a nice solid surf hull. easier to eat a few less Big Macs n shed some lbs. I'd definitely be all over one of these at this price and I have a nice JM/blue motor ready to go!!

60 lbs is sweet whatever it is made of. My knowledge of VE goes as far as knowing that it stands for vinyl ester. Besides that, I've used epoxy for skis and poly for about everything else because that's what the smart people tell me to do.

I ended up giving him some money for one of these. He said he's banging out all the parts from his sale and getting resin by the drum. I haven't heard any dates yet, but I'm anxiously awaiting.

Ok I have made a few test parts to get my flow medium sorted out and track infusion progress. I have one more thing I want to try and then I will be making the top decks this week.

have some more to do for the rear inserts on the bottom mold which I will be working on while all this happens this week.

and any leftover time I need to finish the liner plug.
