I am using plastic boat drainplugs that are screwed into the hull. I also sealed/glued them with Bostik adhesive.

Matt, what Bostik adhesive did you use?

920 Urethane Marine Sealant/Adhesive has extended open time to provide up to 6 hours of repositionability. It provides excellent weatherability and strong, flexible bonds above or below the waterline. 920 bonds to most boat building materials including teak, aluminum, and fiberglass and most plastics. It is ideal for sealing hatches, windows, doors, cleats, and windshields.

920 Fast Set Urethane is faster curing than 920 Urethane. This fast setting formula dries tack free in 90 minutes and delivers extremely tough bonds. It offers tenacious adhesion to wood, fiberglass, FRP, most plastics, aluminum and metal.

9732 RTV Silicone offers excellent high and low -temperature resistance plus excellent weatherability and UV resistance. It remains tough and resilient bonding to glass, metals and plastics. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures to 450 degrees F (continuous) or 500 degrees F (intermittent).

Got both footholds in and foamed behind them. Now I can shape that foam and glass over it.
After that's done, all glasswork is done on the hull. :woot:
I'll sand up to 220, and then concentrate on my Wife's square. It needs to be prepped for paint, as I want to paint both hulls on the same weekend.

99.5% of all glass work done.
I need to fill in a hole in the pole bracket area and affix the mounts for the footstrap to the tray.

The hull weighed in at 122lbs, foamed, exhaust + one way valve, and heavily reinforced.
I am happy with that, especially since it was sitting at 152lbs before I tore it apart.
30lbs less, not bad.

"No TL", as in I am not using TL.

I had the digital MSD TL for two years and loved it. Then the Brain broke, and I couldn't afford a new box.
Hence I am back to stock with a lightened stock flywheel (for past year), and maybe going to a TBM flywheel this year.

New TL brain is about $600 (guesstimating).
TBM Flywheel is $599

I sold all my other Total Loss stuff to fund my summer Pismo trip last year. So at this point I'd have to go with a new complete system at $1295.
I really did like my total loss, but I don't trust myself making it 100% reliable in the saltwater.
Surf rides don't happen very often for me and involve a lot of driving. They are also the funnest rides all year long for me.
As such, nothing is more painstakingly frustrating than a ski that won't run for some stupid issue.

Something else: I am looking for paint suggestions

I was going to go with silver, but that was really only so I could find the hull in 40ft deep murky water should my no-foam hull break. Now that I've got it stuffed with foam to the gills, I am not worried about that anymore.

So let's hear it, please. I am not all that interested in more than one color. For simplicity, I would like to with one color, then put vinyl and other stickers on, then clearcoat it.
Perhaps a green or orange?
Ideas?

Gah!

The Roundnose is about ready for paint, but I was also getting my wife's Squarenose ready for paint, so I can do both at the same time.
I just flipped the thing on it's side to sand, and half hour later I got about 2 cups of water in the bilge that leaked past the bulkhead, and another half a gallon water on the floor.

DAMMIT!!!! I guess I got some defoaming to do.

That sucks.
I decided it would be easier to ignore the water leaking out of my ski than refoaming it.
