I am guessing that a few of my pump or rideplate inserts may be leaking.
I sealed them, but perhaps when I put bolts through them, the seal broke.
I find it unlikely though, especially with the amount of water I got.

When I had everything empty in there this winter, I noticed that I had a break in my intake tract, right by the pump shoe.
I glassed it from the inside, but not from the outside.
Perhaps the pump pressure blasted off the glass work.

crazy how much pressure is forced into the hull from riding. someday i will make a watertight hull. it sure is nice to be able to drain the water out until then.

Yup!
I am extremely pleased to have those drainplugs. I'll leave em out unless I am riding.
By the way, what drainplugs did you use?

I forgot!
i used little brass plugs and steve used 1" abs plugs with rubber washers/seals. i will probably switch to those ones because they sit pretty much flush, where mine stick out a bit.

1. It's a much better cable than the Yamaha counterpart. (Thicker, better built)
2. It costs $28 brand-new.

Cool. I thought maybe it's shorter. With the SN cable in my RN I have enough throttle cable for a plus 10 pole lol. Mine is -3 so I'm going to have some extra. The ski looks tits Matt.

Hey Matt, bummer it's already leaking, but I'm sure that just makes you happier that you used the poly foam :bananajump:

I was asking you about the pump inserts the other day, when I decided what I was going to do. Instead of using a solid type glue, like the bostik you mentioned, I threaded the bolt up into the inserts so the end of the threads was flush with the insert, and the totally coated the top of the inserts with about a 1/8-1/4" of 5200. The bolts backed right out when the 5200 was dry, and I don't have to worry about those pesky things leaking! I mainly used the 5200 because I already had some laying around though ;)

Ah ok. I have very limited experience with other stuff aside from 5200. I just figured it was something similar to the blue yamaha glue or construction adhesive :)

I'm actuallt taking a lunch break now... stuffing that ski with the poly foam is as simple as it looks. Hopefully I can pour a layer of foam on it today!

Edit: ISN'T as simple as it looks
