Maybe check your reeds?

I don't think it would idle as well as it does if it is the reeds. But you might be right so I will check them. Thanks! =) Also if you ever want to trade a blaster for one of your hulls... =P

Oh yeah, you'd be all over that lol. I think I have some pretty nice/well setup B1's and I'd be all over trade for one of his hulls too ha ha. I don't think the value of one of my B1's would even cover material cost of those bada$$ Trixstars. Good luck with the trouble shooting, you'll get it.

Reeds are in perfect shape
Gaskets *were* in great shape..
Pop off was only 13-14ish.. After trying 4 different springs of different colors I was able to raise the pop off to 16...

Going to order new springs and larger pilot jets.

Methinks the pilot is ok. The springs need changing. But then again, I thought the springs u had in it were new. What gives?

No idea! New spring, needle, seat, and jets as of spring. Maybe 25-30 hours on her.. So no idea why all of a sudden it would become an issue.

When I checked the reeds I held them up to a light and looked inside the reed cages for light and didn't see any. Looked closer at the outside of the reeds; checked tension etc and one of them has a hair line crack going through it. So new Boyesen Pro series are on there way. These reeds should also net me another 3-5mph too right? =P

Use coupon BRDR30 for 30% off your order at Boyesen.

Out with the old, in the with the new. Hopefully between the new reeds and gaskets it clears up my mid range issue.

I'm in the process of building my Blaster. I ported the case to flow into the exhaust system, new ported intake with SBN46 carb off of a Wetjet Kraze, modified black pipe from a Wetjet Kraze, Westcoast head with 31cc domes (still want to run pump gas), and an Ocean Pro Vortex FA. The choke plate has been removed and replaced with a primer. That is amazing that you got 57+ mph on a blaster! I'm going to be happy if I see high 40s or maybe 50mph(a stretch I know)! Good job!

The wetjet pipe is good, but if yiu can weld there is a new coffman rocket pipe in the for sale section for 275$ that will make significantly more power. But it needs a bracket so you would have to make one. What impeller are you running?[/QUOTE]

I welded the pipe a couple days ago. I'm still not sure what prop I'm going to run. I have a brand new Solas YB-SC-K (15-19) that I might experiment with.

56 Mph in perfect condition !!
140mm skat mag pump
Speedwerx exhaust
16/21 85mm bore nozzle (I do that for low-end punch)
Some guys don't beleive in a stock B1 Hull with a stock 701 bore could do more than 55mph
Revving a bit to much , it could do 57 mph with 83/82 nozzle but i like the punchy low-end of that Beast!!!

Fired her up she ran well enough in the garage with the new reeds and correct pop off pressure. The needle was also worn so I replaced that.

Got to the lake, fired her to make sure I was good before I went down the long ass boat launch do to the drought... geared up wetsuit, helmet gloves etc etc, go to take off and nothing... won't licoriceing start!! 1/4 can of starting fluid later and nothing... so i pull the plugs and no spark... fml... checked ss switch, grounds, added an extra ground to the ebox, fuse, and new plugs... so either the cdi, coil, or stator... not sure if I should fix her or cut my losses and smash her to bits with a large a hammer..
