New Impros Hooker Impeller for Yamaha

I went from a Solas I to the hooker 10/16 and did notice an improvement in bottom end punch and response time.

I haven't had my X prop on in a while, so I can't compare those two.

I went from what one would consider a "top end" prop to the hooker. I had to put a spacer in my pump to make the hooker work because it is set back so far.

Thanks to Dave @ IMPROS for hooking me up with the spacer.

My situation was a unique one. My pump is modified. The hooker fits in an OEM pump.

Josh, I can't believe you would pay for a hooker!!!! LOL, I just bought my own hooker today. She'll be here next week. cant wait to try her out. I'll let you know how she rides as soon as I get her wet.

Man that sounds dirty

Went from a 9/17 conventional Skat to the 9/15 hooker 7mm CB on my piped sn sj 701.
It had more bottom and better hookup. I'm thinkin the hookers are all about hookup (anti-cavitation). You can always get bottom end from lesser pitch. I couldnt really do a fair top end comparison because it was too long between my comparison rides and I never gps'd either anyway. All in all a great product at a very fair price.
My next prop will be one as well.

Dave,
I just installed that thing today. I was verry pleased with it. it totaly lives up to it's name. I went from a 15.5 straight stainless to a 9/15. It helped dramaticaly with 'rodeo's and hood tricks. It didn't give me the power I had hoped for but that was probably due to my hood mod I just finnished. I need to get more airflow. Keep in mind this is a bone stock 650 too. I'll update this when I get the head, carb and pipe on. So far, verry nice prop! :bigok:

Ty, it looks worse in person though. I diddn't have time for glazing putty. I'll make it pretty when I paint the whole ski this winter. The only real prob is the lack of flow. i'm working on that. It makes the ski look way more modern too. I got lucky with the 3$ paint. It almost matches perfect.

Alright, Hooker update. I managed to get some more air in the ski and it ran much better. Then, I installed a PSI pipe I got cheap from a friend. It's still a 650 but pulls better than expected for a slightly modded ski of that year. Even with my rev limiter all the way down, the ski is plenty fast for freeride with the steep 9/15 pitch. Bottom line is: Want some wet fun? Get a Hooker!!! I love her... or... um.. It!!! :smlove2:

Still Fat....
i think i will call Dave and get one for my ski
i have tried the 13/15,16,17's all with varying cuts
i have personally preferred the 13/15 which i think i have 4-5cut on it now

i noticed a slight nick on the prop so i want to replace it, and i'll try one of these out
