I also have an Sxi Pro and am following your thread with interest.
This is educational for those of us who've never pulled a ski apart.
Keep up the good work, and keep the pics coming.

Thanks man ! appreciate the words of encouragement. Trying to take my time and do things right , learning along the way. This forum has been super helpful!

What part of AUS are you from ? I have visited there twice - have a bunch of friends all over the country - love to head back someday soon

Diggy, nice looking ski so far. I like your wishlist but offer some advise. Tubbie 2's should be very high on that list and the works d cut plate sucked when I bought one. I sold it after a 5 minute ride. I love the R&D extended plate or my d cut stocker.

Note- Tubby 2s are worth every penny! That's in my top 3 mods.

LakeRat, My recommendation would be to do it. Better handling, carving, overall riding experience! I have an R&D top loader intake grate and the Worx Extended ride plate, Skat Trak Big Hub 9-17, short cone, and bored nozzle. I feel this is a good handling/pump set up. Oh..., aftermarket shortened -2 pole with a higher designed handlebar location was a really good mod; one of my other top 3 mods.

After days of cleaning the bilge - the area still did not look good and clean to me.

Decided to paint the bilge , I used Interlux Bilgekote - Amazing stuff worth every penny. Smallest size is a quart but only needed a pint. This stuff really covers. With the cold weather I had to bring the ski inside over the weekend to get a good hard cure

That stuff looks real nice, do you brush it on?

Mark44

Had the hull stripped of all bolted in parts.

Used copious amounts of de-greaser.

The bilgekote is very thick; used a bristle brush and foam pad brushes to apply. The second coat covers any brush stroke marks

Great work and another vote for footholds. The only trick I can do is subs but they help with over all control while riding and jumping. I had never done glass work before but it was a easy install.
