They are strong as hell as is but they will also be stuffed with ping pong balls.......the entire back of the ski unless I go with some poly........but no more trusses....just the ones pictured I think...

I got sick of it and put up a fence in my back yard. It says something that I would grab the post hole digger over tackling a tray rebuild!

DSC05419.jpgDSC05418.jpgDSC05416.jpgDSC05417.jpgThis is one versatile looking piece of poly....you could easily mold custom gunnies out of it...rocker.....ride plate?

so i bought some eme foot holds to put in my sx 750 and i was trying to find some exspanding foam to back fill behind the foot hold to renforce them. do i have to and if so is there somthing cheaper the the two part boat foam and will it just end up water loged to.

Do a search or maybe start another thread in case no one sees your question here....but...yes.....cheaper and better options for sure!!

Spent 4 hours grinding today.....36 grit wheel is awesome....dremel for tight spaces....ride plate needs a new layer of carbon on the bottom too...now I have cleaned up footholds to tinker with too..

All surfaces prepped...still thinkering....

Now that I run that small deka battery it slides forward sometimes in the WDK battery tray....so I am going to make a custom "T" cover for that... with a notch for the bar...so it holds the battery forward and back..DSC05434.jpgDSC05432.jpgDSC05430.jpgDSC05429.jpgDSC05427.jpgDSC05433.jpg

Grinding and fitting today again....ground the bond lines nice and smooth.

The more I look at it I don't need trusses at all. Might do 2 tiny thin ones though.

I am for sure reusing the footholds because they still line up in places letting me know where they were...

Yea that will work fine....my buddy drains MAYBE a cup from each side after a good surf ride....
Versiplug never contacted me back so screw em.....probably gonna get some small drains...

You shouldn't drain more than a couple drops, if anything! How does he get 2 cups of water in there?

I don't know but from reading here all of these years it just ain't happening!!!!

I just resealed everything with 5200 last night.

As best I can tell the water was coming in through the steering cable and trim line tubes. They were sealed but if I shot the hose right at them from inside the engine compartment I could see a LITTLE bit coming through....and that is where the most water was sitting in the foam.

It really seemed pretty sealed and now it is resealed but somehow water gets in!!

Plus when I ripped my ride plate and pump shoe out of my ski in N.Y. I am pretty sure some water got it. Now that I can see the inside pump shoe bolt threads I can see that they are not sealed. They probably were before because everything else in their looked nice!

Will the pingpong balls be loose in the hull or will you have something holding them in place?
After reading smurfs thread a year or so back, I thought it might be good to use some 3M spray adhesive and spray the hull and then spray them as you were pouring them in.If they're stuck to each other it limits vibiration and wear on the plastic. Might be overkill but anything to increase the life of the fix.

Keep up the good work, diggin this thread.
