That's a pita. Could have been any number of things. Is it localized to one subsurface product, like just over one foam type . Just trying to grasp at straws.

My first attempt at a laydown pipe. Made specifically for my engine.Nice! Repair on a carbon lay down pipe?
What's peel ply?Just pulled from peel ply. It came out OK.
It's the first layer in a vacuum bag layup. It's a porous or perforated film that allows excess resin to pass through and be absorbed into the bleeder-breather layer. What's peel ply?

Thankfully this didn't happen after you painted the ski and had it all assembled or on the water and just about sink ya!Over the metton on the right side only in one spot. Only thing I can think is that that side was away from the heater and it was a miserable day, I think it was in the teens. I also may have turned the heat down too soon the following day and never allowed that side to finish curing.
My prep was good, sanded down to the bare metton with 40 grit, cleaned thoroughly and wiped down with acetone. Only real difference was the hardener used and the temperatures I was dealing with outside, even though I had heat on where I was working. Some of the area where I used the same resin is fine, it just seems it was closer to the heater.
Thankfully its the only area on the ski I used that resin.
Got it. Just did mine yesterday with 5200 inside the tray. It's 5200 on the inside of the tray, I figured I'd give g-flex a try for the external stuff. If it really is ill-advised I can always pick up a tube of 5200, it's no big deal.
Thanks for the heads up.
