Well, I have a crack in the left rear corner (side I land on rolls) so I need to fix that, and based on the amount of water coming out, it needs it.

I don't know what all the fuss is about I kind of liked defoaming, tearing stuff up is a hell of a lot more fun than fixing it if you ask me and I liked to getting to play with the foam.

Some 2 part foam that a local boat repair shop uses, and everything was sealed with some decent stuff, not 5200, but good stuff I thought.

I'll see what it's like when I tear it apart. I have the trailer angled letting it drain for now.

I'm tempted to sell the whole ski too and try something else like mountain biking for a while.

How solid was the new foam, or could you push your finger into it like the stock stuff?

Hate to tell you Jeff, but 4lbs stuff is NOT waterproof.

Especially after getting flexed a bunch of times in the hull.

Time will tell for sure, but without a doubt the stock stuff is almost garbage. I'm almost surprised that Yamaha continues to use something that fails so easily and has never tried to upgrade the foam.

Sorry to see this. What did you use to seal the rideplate bolt inserts & stuff? Why not 5200?
You will ride it as is & wait to the winter to do this job, right?

couldn't get hold of 5200 in a big tube within the timeframe I had to tear the ski apart, so I had to use something.

Nah, gonna tear it apart now I guess.

It sucks, because these were new WCF footholds when I refoamed, I hope I don't tear them up removing the tray.

Darin, why not grind and just throw some glass and epoxy on the outside? Even if you had some water in there, it's doubtful you've gained much weight in a year's time.
