There have been pictures showing where to drill the holes
my experience with them was negligible cause i wasnt using the extra power up top it was providing and it was difficult to keep the pressure right,it would eventually collapse to quickly and cause the pipe to over heat. With some extra testing using a larger valve, a valve that uses a pretty large washer sealing surface works better.the larger the washer pushes shut easier, allowing for a much stiffer bigger spring to hold it open under higher pressures,a heavy duty spring is more likely to keep its original tension after being completely compressed for greater and longer duration's. You can also drill micro holes in the washer to allow just a bit of water through when the valve is shut to keep pipe from over heating and still keep in it the right heat and timing zone for sustained top rpm..I just never ride like that. but im sure some here do.
If you take a close look at your manifold it's pretty obvious where the water jacket runs. I ended up having to drill two holes because the first hole I drilled put the end of the spray bar too close to the hull and I couldn't get the hose on it. I never hit the water jacket with either hole because it's easy to see where the water jacket is.True, but it's my understanding that most have hit the jacket.
Interesting thread with many ideas on how best / reliably administer the water (MSD Water injection, reverse flow control valves etc)... Could I chuck another one in the mix having had a think?
Yam made the YPVS (electric power valves) and Seadoo / DASA / XScream realised pneumatics driven off crank pressure would work far more liner and reliable right?... Well why not use the same principle with a pneumatic valve controlling the injection into the pipe, like a mini PV?.. use a 'normally open' version. As crank pressure rises with RPM the valve closes and shuts off the water. Simple and reliable? Think these are called 'Valve Integrated Pneumatic actuators' or similar...
Couple of larger examples..

Un fricken believable. 6 pages and the thread is still on topic. I guess weirder things have happened.
I really enjoyed the quick ride on the Orange Havoc. If I didn't already have my backie chan, I'd have a Havoc on order. We won't be there. But there will be 2 havocs heading to get looked over then off to sponsored riders for the winter season until their hulls are done.
Thanks I'm glad you liked the ride, if I had this at Carolina when we met I'm sure I'd have sold you one! How about that power from the 1105 with no water injected? @masterblaster did you make it down to meet these guys?I really enjoyed the quick ride on the Orange Havoc. I'd have ordered one on the spot! Thanks I'm glad you liked the ride, if I had this at Carolina when we met I'm sure I'd have sold you one! How about that power from the 1105 with no water injected? @masterblaster did you make it down to meet these guys?
You've got a nice bruise from being Dan......, but that 1105 is violent!I'd have ordered one on the spot!
I've got a nice bruise on my leg from the 1105.
