Completely rebuilt the carbs. Changed the N&S from 1.2 to 1.5. Returned jetting to factory specs. Installed new fuel lines. Drilled out the 3 carb restrictors and installed 1 in the return line. That will help balance the fuel pressure in all carbs. Installed a throttle bracket close to oem specs and straightened out the throttle cable for a straight pull. Works perfect.
 
A friend texted me pictures of his exhaust transition. I combined the two together and have a solution. I will install it during final assembly.

Added wire reinforcement to the hood cut out. Will drop resin and glass on it tomorrow. Added (4) 3/8 bypasses. 3 for the head. 1 for the pipe.

Modified the oem manifold. Reduced the width and created extra clearance for the exhaust transition. Lengthened the bolt threads then cut down to 4-3/8". Split cooling inputs x2.

^^^Good choice. I used 404 filler for a project. Holy crap, sanding was horrible. If you dont need a lot of strength, stay away from the 404.

Tshank. Sanding sucks. 10 hours. Its perfect. I have 2 part primer, oem blue and 2 part clear ready to go. I just need stock (ish) graphics. I want this build at maximum sleeper.

I know a couple guys have been waiting on this transition. Here you go. Assembled exhaust. Clears manifold and hull. Perfect.
Modified an inline strainer to accept 1/2" line.
Ordered standard Yamaha graphics for the hood. Added my own "SJ1200" decal underneath the "YAMAHA".

What happened here????? Anyone?
Urethane 2 part primer follower by color rite OEM blue. Turned white after 10 minutes. Thinking if it doesnt cure blue within 24 hours I might need to 600 wet sand and color coat again. I have 2 part urethane gloss waiting. I have low radiant heat on it right now. Still white.
