Starts right up. No choke needed. Idle is even. Sounds big and linear. Ran my ported and piped 701 also. They are completely different.

Dont you just hate that? Do you have a method, or a second set of hands to help you get it out? The yami tripple is so heavy, I hate pulling it out by myself.

3rd on the way the 1200 motor sounds. Not sure with the SJ box but with stock GP1200 has a beautiful roar. Keep up the good work. I love the motor.

Tshank - unfortunately the only way to get the motor out is to break it way down. SJ 1200's are measure by the millimeter. No extra room. I think I can get it out, repair exhaust clamp and back together in 20 hours. Spent 6 months wrenching already. Looking forward to riding this ski.

Exhaust transition needs a little engineering. I can help you with what worked for me.

Ive got the exhaust figured out I think, just have to get a custom water box and a through hull pipe under the tray. I am trying to keep the exhaust a 3" system all the way from the engine to the exhaust outlet on the hull.

I considered cutting the stock in / out on the OEM waterbox and weld 3" tubing instead??

Whatever you do dont gut the waterbox. Water will end up in the motor.

Quick update.
Got out on the lake. Carbs need tuning. To much water in the exhaust system. Will install additional bypasses. No full brap laps yet. Will post numbers when tuned properly.
