@Quinc
I listened and did some work today! From 4:30 to 10 pm with no breaks, or eating. Checked to make sure all my thread a were good, got some old adhesive off, did an absolute ton of prep work, drilled and glued and screwed in drain plugs, glued in cooling tube, trim tube, taped the insert holes shut and sealed them with gflex, and since I had a lot of gflex on them I threw a piece of 6 oz cloth over all of the inserts, sealed every thru hull tube and anything that could be sealed, with gflex, glued and riveted exhaust pipe, and all that fun stuff..I'm gonna use some 5200 over some areas just to make sure they're absolutely sealed good. And where the exhaust tube meets the bulkhead I'm gonna use 5200 instead.
That was a lot of tedious work..
Here's a pic:not the best quality pic. Some of the gflex is black cuz I threw some dye into it.

BUMP! Time to start planning..
My plans this winter:
Hull-
Remove stock decals-Go with a white theme and black chinpad, black turf, and some awesome x-h2o, jetmaniac, etc. decals.
Shorten it 4 inches, straight cut
Add tom21 sponsons, cut ride plate flush. Possibly shorten my pole some more.
Widen the tray to the turf line, design some foothold plates on a CAD system(Learning solidworks at MSOE right now, might as well put it to use!) and have them cncd/laser cut. Then I'll either make a krash style foothold or straight up buy them, depending on how much time I have.
Add a front foothold
Performance-
Replace small metal exhaust thru hull tube with RN sized tube, also replace waterbox with an A/M one
Sport port cylinders
Port b pipe mani/headpipe
Check timing with a timing light, then advance it a couple degrees.
Lightened flywheel, possibly bored nozzle, etc.
It's definitely gonna rip!!

my ski is pretty well dialed in now. got a small repair to make. get a perfect @TOBY turf job and probably add a few more colors to my paint job.
biggest project is restoring re doing my new to me truck. always wanted this truck. my dad bought it new when i was 10 and i was instantly in love with this body style.
i was suppose to buy it from him when i was 16, but he was attached and wouldn't let it go. so finally at 31 i got it off him.
second pic is my basic plan for it, with a little different paint job. still mostly white.

im a frame dragger at heart. always will be. going to keep this mild 2/4 since it will be my daily drive and still have to haul boat and skis.
my s-10 is so low you have to lean it over to get a slim jack under it and its still hard suspension. no bags.

I had a hitch on my lowered Sonoma that had the drawbar through the license plate area on the roll pan so while driving normal you could not even see it and then while towing you just move the license plate.

I'm still torn. My winter plans are either get a fresh Aquabot hull or keep the one I have and say screw the off-season to keep riding...
