I'm not saying it's ethical, but he didn't make a carbon copy and sellin them for half price either. That's ski bums deal :)

Haha, I feel the difference is copying something that is no longer in production (1993-2007 superjets, X2s, etc.) versus copying a product that is currently in production and a source of income for a company in the same market.
I can see your point in that statement. That being said, were there any posts about Trinity or Bullet making SXRs and Gen2 X2s. What about the carbon SJ that Blowsion was selling? Nothing but praise for them. And is it just hulls? We've seen a lot of parts run through the copy machine with some getting blasted while others get an "atta boy". Just seems like the "High Horse" riders travel a curvy road instead of a straight one. Edit: That XFS sure is a good lookin hull, just sayin.

The problem with copying an am hull is its a small community. Your stealing out of a guys pocket you'll see at the lake or at the jet ski rides. This also takes money away from them to spend on innovations and can discredit their product. I ended up copying a q8 and regret it. It was wrong. I did learn a lot and realize my products will never be respected until they are my own.

Bingo!

Takes a man to admit a mistake and most importantly to grow from it!

Here is my ethical take on things. If chevy took a new mustang and threw new fenders, hood, trunk lid and bumpers on it and called it the new gen camaro I would see that as ethically wrong. Now, if they tested it and used it for design ideas on their new product I would call that progress and ethically okay. Beyond that see it in whatever light you see fit.

Keep on keeping on. Unless you have stock in the aftermarket hull game you're just wasting you're breath. Is Rick Roy loosing sleep about someone copying his idea and making it better??? No he's sleeping in some bed that cost more than my house. I can understand the ethical side of it but jeez give him a break.

I have a superfreak that is basically an sj copy but no one would dare hate on Tem's work. Yeah he made a few changes like rocker rear and front wider bondrail and raised hood lip and lower intake tunnel. So who cares you nublets just like to hate.

I guess i'm feeling a little fiesty today, sorry for being a dick about it. I still think splashing someone else's unique AM design and changing it slightly so you can call it your own and SELL IT is wrong. I always will.

I think what bugs me more than the actual copying (minor changes/ innovation or not) is that the majority of people in this community-
A: Think its perfectly fine and encourage it
B: Think the hull looks totally different

I still think the Aquabot has borrowed a lot from the Rickter design and i've gotten flamed from the Tiger Craft fan boys. But this hull... man... come on really?

Look, my comments won't keep it from happening. And it sounds like a LOT of people are doing the same thing with other AM hulls (Chan's, Super Freaks, Circus Freaks, etc) and thats just what i've read on the X. So eventually i'll have to take a chill pill and deal with it.

But until then, pardon my high moral values while I disagree with this..

Exactly why I can barely stand getting on this site anymore. Smallest community with the largest amount of whinny b!+ches! SMH... Sure there's some scums out there, but I don't understand why everyone has to bash every single product that hits the market. I wish everyone would just shut up and ride. It's pretty sad when there's more drama on here than there is people sharing good times, asking for advice, writing reviews, shopping, etc.

If this came from someone who didn't own a Airblair hull I would take it more sincerely.

That being said, I agree with your statement even though i'm guilty of the accusation. I've said the same thing when everyone was bashing Steve/ Trendsetterz.
