the trivial complaints thread

Was at the lake for the weekend with family and the campground was sold out and we got the last two spaces, score! Adjacent to our site was the boat parking with big white and black obvious signs that say "BOAT PARKING ONLY". The spaces are really shallow and you have to unhook boats and skis. Also at this campground you can only have two vehicles and they must fit on "your" site. So friday night there were two trucks in there but plenty of room for our boat, one WaveBlaster and two other boats so no big deal. Get off the water Saturday and guess what? One space for a boat in the "Boat Parking Only" spots and the rest was full of cars. I yell out, "does anyone know who's cars these are?" As you can imagine nobody responds. Flag down the ranger and ask if they can locate the people or have them towed so they say they will take care of it. After about 20 minutes of me blocking the road waiting for a spot the ranger says they can't locate the owners so I say call the towing company. After another 15 minutes and no ranger coming back I squeeze my boat in and the WaveBlaster with about 1" to spare on both sides.
No cars were ever towed and nobody ever came back to them including the ranger. Sunday morning we get up and pack up camp and get ready to hit the lake. Get boat hitched up and because of other people parking on the shoulder there is no way I can get out without hitting the car that is next to the boat. After jockeying around for about 10 minutes and getting nowhere a guy walks over and says "nice boat, bla, bla, bla" He finally asks if I want his friend to move the car that is in my way so I can get out? Are fu@&ing serious! Yes I say , move your damn poop!.

So we finally get out and two spaces down from ours there is a truck 1/4 of the way into the road parked blocking us from getting out. My cousin jumps out and asks the lady to move her truck. Her response was it's her husbands truck and she doesn't know how to drive it. Basically he tells her to move that poop but it nice enough to guide her out and off the road.

So first, damn people are stupid and selfish! Second, if you are going to have rules and signs then have the balls to enforce them.

My wife has been warned that if we ever get to a point where we have some serious FU money, I'm buying an ugly truck with solid bumpers and making a statement!

We got hit by a major lightning storm last night that fried one of our PTZ cameras, 2 ports on the NVR and 3 ports on our Network switch.

I finally got everything sorted to the point where I could get out in the garage to do some work and found that it fried my AV receiver too.

Edit: Add 2x AppleTV 4K units to that list.

I just watched an Osprey snatch another one of the $12 Grass Carp out of our pond.

That's the second one in just the last couple days and I doubt he stops until he's ate them all. We only bought 12 and at this point, I bet we have less than 4 left .
We were just discussing buying another 6 at the next fish days but I'm not too thrilled about it at this point.

Earlier in the season we had a Double Crested Cormorant take out at least 3 of them before I "persuaded" him to F.O. I don't think I can get away with that tactic with an Osprey.

Ospreys are amazing hunters and one of the most beautiful raptors on the planet. Please don’t ‘persuade’ him to leave. I’ll gladly PayPal you some dough to cover some of the kidnapped bottom feeders.

Oh I agree 100%, they are one of my favorite Raptors and he’s totally safe. It’s just frustrating to see.

We watch the Carp feed along the bank almost every night and they have already grown from 9-11 inches to 18-21. They get up to 36” and I was really looking forward to seeing that.

Not to mention that they actually do work. Our pond was looking really good this year but the improved water clarity probably works against them.

Ran into an old ‘aquaintance’ Friday night and ended up spending a very busy weekend with her. I’ve been icing my junk since she left this afternoon. I was so sore from the hips down that i could barely ride the SJ after she went home. First world problems.

When you buy a used truck and you have to fix a bunch of stupid śhit. I know it’s a Chevy but it’s like no maintenance has been done except change the oil. I pulled 12.5 quarts out of it by the way
