Early last summer or early this summer? If it's more than a couple months, you better call and find out what the hold up is. Any fine the DNR gives you is your problem regardless of who's to blame.

It took a couple weeks for them to come out and inspect the hull and put the HIN # on it. Then it was about a month until I received the card. I didn't have to show receipts or anything like that though so that was very nice.

On a Yamaha setup, it's typically bolted (2x) to the engine cases and slips onto a rubber stud of sorts on the midshaft housing.

yeah I 2nd it being necessary. I have seen a few posts where people are crying about water ingestion on this site and they are running no cover coupler. The couplers will sling water right into the carbs with no cover.

I ran my SJ without the cover for a little while without the cover. Then I noticed how much water the coupler slings everywhere and put it back on. My coupler cover is pretty ghetto because I cut it to clear something (can't remember what) a while back.

I don't have a single picture with that coupler cover attached but I am running one.

Well I got my cover over the weekend...finally. It's an FX-1 cover and it fits quite well.

I also got my registration stickers but those don't fit quite so well. They take up the entire hood! I can obviously move them down slightly but geez!! They're gigantic letters. Good thing I had two "1's" in my number.

The block letters are boring. I wanted something different for once. It doesn't show very well but it's gold with chrome outlines. I kind of winged the registration sticker...

I added a splash guard this week. That has been the biggest complaint I've had about hull. I'll see how it does. I didn't want to make it too big and eliminate all of the cool water hitting me.

The real reason I pulled the boat out of the water was to swap engines and change the midshaft. I really wanted to see if moving the engine back slightly would help me. Unforunately, the douchebag that I bought the GP800 midshaft from is dragging his feet so I still don't have it after a 10 days. Debating whether I want to install the new engine and try to tune it this weekend or just wait until the midshaft comes in.

Well the motor was sold as a lightly ported 62t big bore. Unfortunately, the seller lied and it's actually a lightly ported 61x on it's last bore. Figured I might as well try it...We'll see.
