I think you hit your head or something. It's june, not december.
That being said I bet you will have it done by next weekend.

Thanks to the GA heat and the sun, I was able to lay glass twice this afternoon and once again this evening. So here is today's progress. Hood has taken it's basic form and has 2-3 layers of 8oz weave. The tray has 3 layers of 12oz biax. Footholds are riveted in place and glassed in with 2 layers of 8oz weave. The hull itself has expanding foam in it in hopes of getting the necessary hood recess that matches the hood. If anything prevents me from getting on the water by next weekend, it'll be because the area for the hood seal has taken so long.

Not a whole lot got done today since there was more waiting than working...plus work gets in the way. Got the hood lips started on the sides of the hull. Added a bunch of glass and a layer of carbon to the hood. Carbon was added to the hood to help stiffen it. I had that hood next to the SN hood and didn't think to compare lengths. I think this hood might be larger now but not sure. Took all the stickers off the top deck as well because it will obviously need painting after all of this.

I didn't feel like posting yesterday but here is an update... I put wax paper in the hood seal area on the hull, filled it with expanding foam, and then jammed the hood down on top of it. The foam sticks to the hood giving the form and the wax paper comes right off the hull. Sanded the outside of the hull, pulled the pole off, LOTS and LOTS of work trying to get the hood smooth. Went wakeboarding...what? lol The hood is still a little wavey and not completely smooth. I hand curved a piece of fiberglass for the front lip and held it in place with lots of tape overnight. Did the expanding foam trick again and that gave me the remaining seal form for the hood. Glassed over all that foam today and reinforced the original form for the hood seal on the hull. While waiting for all of that ghetto fabulous fiberglass work to cure, I got to work on the underpadding for the tray.

I may have to add some more glass to the hood tomorrow to make sure it's strong. Then I have to get back to making the hood smooth and pretty. The hood has actually been the worst and most time consuming part. Once the hood is done, I just have turf and paint to go. It'll be a push to have this thing ready to go by Saturday but should be possible.

Well I did a lot of smoothing on the hood and then got lazy and took a few shortcuts today mostly on the hood. If you look, it's not totally perfect. The bottom edges aren't perfectly straight and there are slight bulges on the top side. I could probably spend another week getting all of that stuff perfect. Maybe I will get to those one day but that isn't going to be today. If the hood or hull cracks due to my mods, that'll be the day to really fix everything.

The original plan was to skip primer like I always do on my hulls. Unfortunately, I screwed around too much today and it was getting too dark to see if paint was going on evenly so I just did primer as it you can shoot that stuff blind and it'll come out decent.

Going back with a blue. It's similar to what I had but the same stuff I used on the boat so a little less metallic flakes. Actually the same thing I painted the bottom deck with when I modded it.

I cheated this morning... Sanded the primer and painted it before leaving for work in hopes that it'll be dry by the time I get home. I was just afraid of putting a ski in the water with maybe 24 hours on the paint job. I did get a couple tiny runs just as I was thinking how awesome of a job I was doing. When I saw them last, they just looked like a slight line of dark color. Might not be real noticeable but we'll see when I get back home.

Since there isn't really much left that makes this a stunt hull anymore, I'm wondering if a new name for this hull is in order...
