Found some debris in the fuel line going from the master carb to the slave carb. I'm guessing that junk clogged up the jets or something. I've got a filter a foot from the carbs so not sure where all the debris came from. I didn't really see anything in the jets but that's gotta be the problem. If it's clogged in the internal circuits, not sure how I'm going to clean that out but I'll give this a shot later today and hope for the best.

pull those carbs apart , remove all jets , needle, seats, filters. turning screws, diaphrams.. everything. and spray carb cleaner through all the openings,... jet holes what not . then I blow through all openings with air hose. that should take care of your internal circuits!

That's what I did but the 8 output holes inside the carb are like pin holes. I ran it real quick on land and it looks like fuel is shooting out of everything. We'll see in a little while if that fixed it. God I hope so.

If you use the straw from the can of carb cleaner,on the correct hole you can see cleaner spraying through the boombsite (8 holes)

It went pretty well. I leaned out the high and richened the low and it works pretty good. I'm at 2 turns out on my low though so I'm going to go up a jet. Currently running dual 44 GRS carbs with a 120 pilot at 2 turns out and 115 main at 1 turn out. I still don't truly understand how my basic changes required a rejet but I plan to go to a 122.5 or 125 low jet.

The engine ran fantastic for about 30 seconds with the new jets. Then it went downhill fast from there. Never really got it tuned and when I pulled the plugs the first time for the heck of it, the front cylinder looked good and the rear cylinder was black and had goop all over it. Swapped plugs in the cylinder and went for another go. 5 minutes later it was running REALLY bad. Pulled the plugs again and the front cylinder was white like it was new and the rear looked normal. Something has to be way wrong. I should've waiting until the engine blew up. This rebuild has caused nothing but nightmares.

Reinstalled trim on my ski Thursday and broke it on Saturday....sweet huh? Well I used that as an excuse to pull the ski out of the water and tear into it. Apparently the leaky scupper was only half of the problem. Check out the gap between the top and bottom decks. First pic is just with the turf removed and the second is after I cleaned out some of the 5200. All of the rivets (20+) were either pulled loose or broken. Apparently, I've been really hard on this thing. I'm debating whether to just squeeze the top deck back down or just cut it out and glass in a new one that fits better. I'm leaning towards ripping it out.

They are the 615 footholds. I'll snap some better pictures of those soon. The XFT's were tough to accurately kick into because your foot has to be aligned perfectly or you won't kick in or you kick into the side which feels awesome. It's not so bad in calm water but in the chop it's nearly impossible.

The trim ring originally broke in Daytona and I tried to fix it. The fix came off yesterday launching off of mcdog's wakeboarding boat.

I decided to go ahead and take half the floor off so that I could make it flat. It has a slight curve to it normally and my feet slide out on a big jump.

Also, I've been thinking about making the hood bigger for a long time and figured now is a good time... Go big or go home right?!
