I learned that the 1105 with the light weight PHP crank needs a slightly bigger pilot. I'm at a 130 now and have the low speed screw past 1 1\2. I'm going to try a 132.5 and see if I can't get it closer. I do not like having screws on a full spectrum any more than 1 full turn. A conversation with Ed and he will explain why.

Would this curve work with an Epic too? I wouldn't think the timing would change between the Flame and Epic... I'm running an 1105 on pump gas as well.

I'm going to try this. I'm hoping the b curve will tame the motor a good bit for surf. I may retard it even more. We will see.

I received my TPE 964 two weeks ago and dropped it into a Krash JB1 hull. Really impressed with the power and that was running it rich on its first tank (we are in winter at the moment so limited chances to ride)

That air box can't flow enough for that engine. I bet that was why it seemed rich.

that air box is fine for 46's. the singles not so much. It seemed rich because he was running it rick for break in.

I thought some engine builder said it's hard to break in a nikasiled motor because of something I don't remember the reason

I was running it rich for breaking the engine in.

We make custom alloy base plates to suite any type/setup of carbies so that the OEM airbox can be used with the mesh filters (only one mesh not three). Check out the pics. We can make them out of plastic or alloy, we can also make plastic trumpets. If you are interested let us know, the more we make the cheaper it is.

What octane and RON pump gas? 91-93-98, fuel octane and quality are usually relative to location, so the term "pump" gas can be very general and in some cases misleading.
Very impressive, more so if 91.

UK we use Shell V power, its 99 RON so its good stuff compared to some

Before anyone jumps on it, 98-99 Ron UK is roughly equal to 91-93 Octane USA.
