Addict, my setup is going in the demo. I'd love for you to try it. It's not pro tuned, I did the tuning. I think you will be surprised by what us "average" guys can build.

To me it's pointless demoing a flatwater boat with a 701. Even more pointless building one to own. The demo will have a dasa 1000 with the "works".

does this mean ppl can try to backflip on it I mean u already sank this motor anyways but by the way your putting it sounds like you can go all out on this demo ski n ride it like I stole it with the beast power your putting in it? I mean it just sounds like yall dont care if the demo gets beat since no ones going to want to putt around on a 1000cc? I mean if I rode it I sure as hell would want to see what a 1000cc can do since I cant afford one yet. Js

I agree with what your saying. But a lot of people can't afford the big power right away so your statement of saying "it's pointless" on building a 701 to own is a very bias statement. And if everyone had this same outlook as you our sport would be smaller then it already is.
our sport would probably be bigger if there werent a bunch of knuckleheads spending their last penny on an AM hull just to throw their gutless SJ junk at it only to discover they cant do anything more on it than their SJ, so they throw in the towel and hang it up. if everybody wasnt chasing the pros, they would buy a 440, 550 , 650, 750 or whatever and just ride for fun.

wow that is awesome and naive all at once. ive seen 3 different AM hulls now flip with limited 701 flat water. never seen a superjet o that

Just now seeing this thread lol. Hull looks sharp. Kinda wish I was going to WF now.

I think an 850 148mag is enough motor, thats what was in the first Chan when Steve brought it to Daytona how many ever years ago that was.

Concerning this debate/ "lets see who can be the biggest ass about a motor" discussion.... I think both sides of the 701 vs 1000 argument are valid. But there is something missing, and thats the target market. When Steve was selling the Chan, a 701 would make more sense because it was being offered at entry level pricing for entry level customers who might only have a 701 etc. But from what I understand, the Phantom is going to be a higher end product, I.E. more $, better quality etc etc. You don't put a 701 in a Circus Freak... Therefore putting something larger than a 701 makes sense. Leave the 701 for whatever mfg is scrapping for the entry level/ first time/ $3k hull guys.
Thats just my take based on the few discussions i've had with Steve on the Phantom.

Yeah your right buzzard everyone flatwater flips a 701 superjet. So I guess there is no reason to buy a aftermarket hull. Because in the end your only going to do whatever you could do on your superjet.

I meant no disrespect in my post Addict. It comes off lippy after reading it again. But I remember you from last year and wanted you to try it that's why I singled you out. Lol

And for the guy with his panties in a wad, no, every Tom dick and Harry is not going to go out there and beat my stuff. Also what does it matter if I sank it? poop happens bro. If the hull on your avatar is the one I'm thinking of I beat the crap out of it and sank it too so what does it matter? Lol

Reality check, it's up to the builder to decide what engine/setup package to debut their new hull with. It's pretty cool that they are listening to suggestions!
