Heres a couple more shots many of you have been asking for. The molding starts this week, with the first ski starting towards the end of feb. Thanks to all my guys who have been there from the start of this project 1000's of hours ago, with the priceless support and input. A result of all this work and professional support from riders has produced a platform that is not comparable to any other in performance, strength and weight. Not to confuse some of you even more, I will be offering a Matrix GP. Which stands for general purpose, it is a entry level price along with materials. The reason for all the abbreviations (GP,ES,XF,PRO) is to create designed and documented laminates that can be ordered with understanding by the customer. These different laminate schedules allow riders to buy at the price point comfortable to them and built to the level they ride.

Any idea on pricing yet?

PRO-$7999.99
XF- $6399.99
ES- $4999.99
I will have more info on my site soon. I'm also figuring the GP which will be polyester resin, e-glass fiber, and gel coat for you guys looking for a completely new ski at the lowest price. The GP will be slightly stronger, and comparable to the weight of a sj with better build quality. All the prices are complete hulls w/ hood, footholds, scupper, rideplate, dual cooling, trim tube and pumpshoe.

What is the weight of a oem hull? I have heard anywhere from 110-120. Is this close to correct?

In my limited experience with 1 RN hull and several SN hulls, 100-120 without the hood, without reinforcement, dry foam, is about right.

My reinforced RN weighs 120lbs

With that said, realistically you could save 31 lbs between the hood and hull for 4999.00 w/the ES pkg. NOT BAD.

XMetal is sending the rest of parts next week for this build, the ski is almost set for molds then its off to assembly and final tuning. Hopefully by the end of next month it will be completed [paint job permitting]. The best $36k I have ever spent.
