Would you pay $1/month to support the site and have ZERO ads?

I'd gladly pay just so I have a site to waste time with at work. Not to metion that it has tons of usefull stuff in it to. I like the whole leaving it open for free with ads, but think that if we are paying some stuff should be locked to the non-payers. Leave the main forums totally open, but maybe lock the marketplace (or at least have to be a supporter to sell). Just an idea.

It's been suggested before to do a donation or charge for selling items. That makes a lot of sense since some people sell A TON on here, but it might also push them to other sites.

I don't like making anything mandatory, that's not why we started the place, but the bills have to be paid somehow so I'm always looking for the least painful/stressful way to do that.

$2200/year would be a lot of shirts, we would have had to make $10/shirt profit and sold every single shirt I had made up last year to make that kind of money.

Not a fan of having a selling fee (if your talking about a per sale fee), just have being able to sell an added perk for being a supporting member. Like make it so only supporting members can start new threads in the for sale section. If I had to pay extra (on top of just the small supporting fee) to sell I would just go list somewhere else.

Hostgator.com charges $10 a month and should be able to handle the traffic and database of this site.

No, they won't, trust me, we went through provider after provider. We have a ton of traffic.

I like that a lot.....pay to play for sellers. 10 bucks is literally less than one tank of gas for your ski....it's nothing really
