No, it's a Mariner for sure. Did you get that from Oasis Performasnce? I have got some parts from Marty before, he used to race X2's back in the day from what he told me.

A little elbow grease, some muraic acid, and an SOS pad.... most aluminum

will look brand new! But you better clear coat it to get it to stay that way.

What did you do with the rest of your SXR?

You should mate up the 800 pump into the X2 next!

I know everyone says a water box doesn't provide crap as far as power goes and they are louder but... THEY ARE MUCH LIGHTER THAN THE FACTORY STAINLESS STEEL WATERBOX! So I am going to run one in my ski! lol

Internally there is only a 6mm difference between the 650 and 800 pump. Set the impeller back 6mm and you have the same dimensions and the 800. Just run a modern prop out of an 800 or a TBM and it is totally updated.

I could add a 650 shoe to an 800/750 pump pretty easy with a metal chop saw and a sawzall to go in an X2. I actually did 3/4 of this operation last night just to see how hard it was to do. It is pretty simple.

Good to know! I have both a 650 pump and a 750 pump but I haven't really measured anything in either of them.

Brent, you ski looks great! I am jealous!

So I decided to add some breathing for the added power. I put 5200 one tube in and pourd some foam in around it to replace some that I took out. After doing some shaping of the foam Im not sure I like it. I dont have any picks of the final yet. I am doing to determin if im ripping the foam out tommorow or leaving it in.

2 inch primary air tube, and dual 1.25 secondary tubes up high. Right side water drain, and left top hood scoop foamed and glassed over. Modded stock foam.

Took it for the maiden voyage at daytona and it ran great for 10 minutes then ran like crap. After swaping electrical boxes and tearing, carbs down, playing with the mixture screws, tossing the outerwares, and 10 sets of plugs. I finnally got it running well enought to have a blast. I see a set of 44s in its future. I will say that it has 10X more power than the 650 and my shoulders are sore from the pull it has. I like it. I want to thank scorn, paul, alex, Ihop, pete(legdragger) and chuck for helping me get it going.

Water injestion is a real problem on these, thus the semi-stock airbox for me. Did you get a ride on Pete's?

D Slicker you have any video from the daytona ride? I'd love to see how that thing runs, I bet it'll rip your arms off.

Unfortunatly my helmet cam was pointed to far down so all i got was video of the front of my ski. I will have some in the next couple of months. I plan on being in the water by the end of april. :arms:
