Cool, mine is simple as well.
Well, I didn't say that. How about just functionable and simple.this will be the epitome of simple, yet elegant ,lightweight and stunningly beautiful !:Banane09:
I assume you got my message....:stups:I was planning on working my next X2 hull over to just hold only the yamaha driveline.. Similar to these pics. I was planning to grind out all the ribs, mounts, etc except the tower support locations and then make some plates that the yamaha mounts would bolt into and glass them in. Fill everything and smooth it all out, and reinforce the entire engine compartment WELL.
All the reinforcing is a must, because I've destroyed my hull this year and I thought I had it reinforced nicely. Turns out it busted right at the edge of all my reinforcing, etc.. I'm going to make a SOLID hull, and in order to do that I think everything needs to come out, so may as well go ahead and set it up for yamaha motor mounts. Maybe even put in a universal style plate thats tapped for both types of drivelines. Obviously these are just ideas that I haven't tried. So who knows if both are even possible.
I'm almost 100% sure I can get the yamaha positions glassed in like I want while gutting and reinforcing a hull. I don't really see any use in putting a yamaha engine in a stock hull. If your not riding it hard enough to bust the hull, your not going to be able to justify a yamaha swap in my opinion. Stick to the 650/750's.
If you guys can come up with a cheap, easy solution I'm in. Otherwise I think the glassing in method would be the best. Again, just ideas and my opinions not tried and tested!
No doubt.:crutches::sleeping::trink26::sleeping:There will be several options floating around very soon, mine will be the best ,of course..
My solution will be easy ,I don't know about the cheap part,I will be putting in a lot of hours on this one,I will be expecting to recoup some of that time in the form of money.
I assume you got my message....:stups:
