Even if you have to grind it to fit, it still works. It took me an hour or so to flatten the lip at the top of the shoe so it fit properly.

I put an XR-Tech on my ski two seasons ago. It required a lot of grinding and fitting to get it right. It is not a direct bolt on part.

Learned my lesson quick when I first got into skis. Now I anti-seize everything.

We use the ramp at the lighthouse as well. It's literally like a 2 minute ride to get to the island. The only issue there is parking. If you don't get there early enough, you may not find parking. Doubt you will have any issues this early in the season and on a week day.

I got the line from my mechanic and have it on both of my skis. So far everything has been fine. I was thinking of using my heat gun on the line after I reconnect it to the return nipple on the carb. The only way to see what's going on is to remove the head. Start there and post some pics if u can.

Water is supposed to be in the cylinder head, but not the cylinders. Did you mean water is getting into your cylinders? If so, it's usually due to a bad gasket or O-ring. What type of head do you have? Have you done a compression test or leak test?

Yeah I figured that out. Now I just need to stop the air leak at the return nipple off the carb. Gonna work on it this week.

ran it again today. It never ran away, but I only ran it for a few seconds. I noticed lots of air bubbles coming from the carb nipple at the return line. Got foamy when I revved the motor. Brand new clear lines on everything. Ill cut it back and try it again I guess.

I assumed you would swap out what you need. Your piece pretty much needs everything (lock, latch, & hinge). That's what I would do.
