I prefer monkeys. They are a stiffer so your ski vibrates a little more, but they can take more abuse then the stock ones.

Very true surf newbie :haha: , the water is always gonna be deeper on the back side of a wave, which is why botched re-entries suck more then anything, but I've never heard of anyone hitting the sand with their head. That would suck:frown: Its usually always deeper then that, but nosing the ski...

If you want a larger sized beginner to not get frustrated and have a lot of fun. The SXR is the ski for him. Any of these skis will get them out of the water without a problem, but the SXR is the very stable, the heaviest and easiest turning ski on the market hands down.

Sorry to thread jack. Vince is the only person I've ever seen who can do a BR rail grab and he uses that handle. There's a pic somwhere and it is sick.

I heard he came by waterworld the other day but I wasn't around. Apparently he's doing amazingly well considering what happened.

I scored myself one of the yamaha crates and its badass. It bolts to the bow and stern eye on the ski and is super easy to assemble/dissemble. If you can get your hands on one thats the way to go.

How far is it off by? The blowsion hood hooks have longer holes so you can adjust them. You might just have to drill out the holes on the hood hooks a little to get the hood to seat more forward.

Don't tell me about that. I flew to the daytona ride last year injured to hang out with peeps. All I'm sayin is that if there's gonna be a freeride in California, it would be freakin retarded not to have it in the surf.

Are you nuts? why would anyone in their right mind drive all the way to san diego to ride on a lake. They can do that anywhere. I live an hour from SD and I wouldn't. Sack up and ride some surf!!!

I used to run that protec pipe on my ski too. Personally I think it produced more power than the B-pipe but it just makes it more of a hassle to work on your boat with that big chamber just hangin out on top of the head.
