Have I maxed out my 61x?

Well now I'm nervous. I probably won't be raising my compression any higher than it's already at with the R&D rec head. I would rather get the extra punch from a lightened flywheel and maybe a little advanced timing. I would still like to have a reliable ski. Is WCF watercraft factory? I'm...

Have I maxed out my 61x?

I think I have it around 7400. I don't have a tach so i was just eyeballing the screw on the back of the MSD, according to the instructions.

Have I maxed out my 61x?

I like the sound of that. I was told by the local shop that the MSD cdi advances the timing some. Is that possible? Any suggestions on who to have lighten my flywheel? I'll do a little searching for some info on advancing the timing.

Have I maxed out my 61x?

Whats wrong with the riva freeride drypipe? I'd have to be getting a huge improvement to justify selling this setup and finding a decent b-pipe. It would be nice to be able to get to the head without having to screw with the pipe.

Have I maxed out my 61x?

Sounds like a mild port job and some reeds might be next. A b-pipe would be nice but I do like my dry pipe quite a bit. Anybody want to trade? What about a lightened flywheel? Total loss would be sweet but I don't want to have to fiddle with charging batteries.

Have I maxed out my 61x?

I looked around on the site a bit. Any idea how much a single runs?

Have I maxed out my 61x?

I have a 61x in my square, I'd like to get a little more oomph out of it so I thought I'd ask the experts. Is there anything else I can do? I'd like to avoid porting the cylinder but I'm open to all suggestions. Seems to have plenty of top end. Here is what I have.... Riva freeride dry...

    rear sponsons with tubbies?

Looks like I'll just stick with the tubbies only. Any idea how well the riva rear sponsons work? Moneywise they look pretty good.

    rear sponsons with tubbies?

Just getting ready to put on a pair of tubbie I's and I started wondering if rear sponsons would be good too. I'm not hardcore freestyle but I like to try. At the same time I really like to carve, bouys, etc. Will rear sponsons hurt freestyle? Do they help much at all? I was looking at the riva...

    Prop questions on my squarenose

I have a 93 Superjet that I swapped a single carb 61x into. I'm about to replace the prop and was thinking about going with the skat swirl. I was looking at impros.com and only saw the skat swirl listed for roundnose superjets. I have the Riva freeride pipe, R&D 35cc rec head and a tau ceti...

    anyone in austin install footholds?

It's really not that hard. I'd help but I'm in San Antonio. Not worth paying for it.

    hightempsilicone.com bogus company?

I placed an order two weeks ago today, got the confirmation e-mail stating I had paid in full, will ship in 1-2 days, etc. Heard nothing, I've sent two e-mails, and left two messages over the last three days. Everytime I call all "agents" are busy helping other members. Right. Anybody have a...

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

How much should I restrict it? On my old 650sx I just ran a "tee" fitting and turned it so the water had to go 90 deg. just to get to the stinger, the path of least resistance was to the pisser. I'm not sure it that is the best solution. What do you think? adam

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

Well I'm going to try to get it in place without having to grind any fiberglass, besides the hood mod which I will end up doing. On my way to pick up the jets right now. I'll probably go with the 177.5 to start with. I do have a R&D rec. head but other than that it's a stock engine. Really...

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

Looks like you're right on the money. Here's a picture of the situation. The threaded shaft that the e-box mounts on just hits a little bit on the back but I don't think it would be an issue once installed because the pipe slips forward and away, I'll probably just shave 3 or 4 rows of threads...

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

Isn't this pipe supposed to fit in a roundnose? I don't understand why you had to modify to make it fit? I talked to factory today and they said it was never intended for a square. It's so close though, I just need like 2 cm to get it in place then it will fit into the coupler on the manifold...

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

Crab, I know from PWCtoday that you are the expert on fitting pipes in difficult places. Very encouraging, I'd really rather run this pipe over a b-pipe anyday, the extra maintenance will be worth it. I thought about loosening the engine from it's mounts. I hate to cut into the lip but looks...

    Riva Freeride drypipe in squarenose?

Somehow I thought it would fit but I'm sitting here with the pipe and I just can't seem to get it installed. I've been messing with it for a while now. Has anybody done this, and if so, can you give me a hint. If I put on the manifold, test fit only, but snug in place, the manifold end of the...

Will Coffmans Dry pipe fit in a squarenose?

Just trying to figure out if a Coffmans Lightning Series dry pipe will fit in a squarenose with a 701. It's a 61x cylinder.
