    Sx-r "limp mode" see video

Check the continuity on the connector where this sensor was removed. The pins can corrode away and fuse together inside the plug, putting the thing into limp mode.

    Making of the SNX Hull

The aluminum you should be able to cut with a decent jig saw and/or circular saw and a ton of wd40. There are also a few guys on here with machine shops that would probably do some deals on making those plates for you if you wanted stainless. Those parts are a gravy job on a decent VMC. If...

    Making of the SNX Hull

Damn, thanks for the description! I've never worked with heat shrink but I guess it is similar to doing wet layup vac bag, just the sleeve is applying pressure instead. Are the sleeves and heat shrink tubes all made to order (ie you send a company dimensions of your part) or are they available...

    Making of the SNX Hull

Can you show some pics of how you are bonding the two halves and finishing them. The bit of composite work I've done is leaving me struggling to understand how you got the OD surface of a part to be that good. Is there a step I'm missing? Something special about these sleeves you speak of?

    Help with 2000 Ultra 150

Is your high temp warning light on the dash flashing? My ultra used to do something similar if it's cooling line filter blocked. It also did it once in the middle of the summer in shallow/hot water after a while.

    Making of the SNX Hull

Personally I like the honeycomb as an accent used tastefully, not as the main surface for large parts. I think its because when I see it I know its there for visual effect only as opposed to 4x4 which could be structural. but I'm an engineer and we tend to buy tan station wagons for pretty...

    FreeForm Factory

Quite a good reason for why it hasn't been done yet: the mold cost vs quantity. The website says its pressure formed (its a thick gauge vacuum thermoformed technique) which has a mold cost that is an order of magnitude more expensive to do than carbon/fiberglass. Jetskis are such low...

    Custom/Hybrid WDK ROK tank

Bit of an update, I had a weld crack in the bottom of the tank and drain a full tankl into the bilge (YAY!!!) 1. Dont buy this tank 2.Buy the aluminum finish and inspect the welds (mine looked good so that won't always tell you if its Lack of Fusion/Cold weld). If you do buy one, put some...

Does it already have a SJ pump conversion? If not, you are tearing up the tray anyway now is the time to do it.

    Pump seal issue

As some of the guys have said, the alignment of the shaft through this hole is not what matters. What matters is that is centered in the midshaft bearing, who's 3 mount inserts may not be concentric to that hole. If you pay too much attention to the shaft hole through the hull and not the...

    Winter Storage.

No. This will do nothing other than keep dust off it. The motor generates no heat when it's off so insulation will do nothing to keep it above garage temperature. If you are worried about water line freezing you can buy marine bio degradable anti freeze and fill the motor with it. My ski lived...

    Alum hull you say!?

Depends, some of the smaller ones are jetski based ones like this with a Kawi 15F motor and pump: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/boats-marine/motorboats/auction-819346531.htm For the bigger (4 seat+) ones Lexus v8s are quite common because they are cheap, but you also see chevy 350s, LS2's...

    Alum hull you say!?

Before I even clicked the link I said "I bet that's in new zealand". Quite popular here just about every major town has a shop making bad ass aluminum jet boats. we run the rivers on jet skis too. An alloy hull wouldn't be a bad idea...
