carb caps
I took a thin cutting wheel on a die grinder and just cut them off, there's about a 1/4" of space before you get to the screws. As for adjusting them in the ski, it's hard, but I use a car carb adjusting tool (long flexible shaft) with a small slotted bit in the end of it, works fine...

When are we going riding? I have this nice 04' sj that has seen water twice !!!:frown: I'll be on the water sept. 3,4,5 let me know if your available, call the grove  ..... Dereck
its a 04 sj, factory B pipe, v-force reeds, majoo freestyle porting on a 701, factory water box and flame arrestor, 38mm mikuni's re-jetted with 75/137.5 jets, and adjusted for low 1/2 turn out, high 1 1/2 turn out.
I need help tuning my carbs. they are stock 38's that have been re-jetted etc. Paul gave me the specs to dial them in at, but they need a little more attention. The choke plates have been removed and it is really hard to get it started, also the plugs are always soaking wet when i take them...
the ski is a 04' sj... so I'm assuming the screws are capped because i can't see them. how do i get the caps off? thanks for all the pipe info, i think i'll go bottom/middle closed, and top opened a crack.
Just finished installing a ton of aftermarket parts, including a factory pipe, Jr.Magoo freestyle ported cyl,a.d.a head with 33cc domes, v-force reeds and new jets in the carbs.. How should I have the 3 screws adjusted on the pipe? Bottom and middle completely shut, and the top one open a crack...
I have a 04' sj with stock dual 38's. I have no idea where my high/low adjustment screws are ?? dumb question, but my friends 03' sj has them...I can't find mine anywhere !!! any hints ? thanks
so if you had to pick a cylinder to port & bore, what would you go with? stick with the stock 81mm 61x i have now, and get paul to port it, or get a 760 and play with it?
whats the max. size you can bore out each cylinder before having to sleeve them ? Is it better to use a 760 cylinder rather than a 701 to bore out to 85.5mm or 86mm ? sorry for the dumb question
