well i got my motor out of my hull and its at my builder's. im getting it powder coated and im painting the inside of my hull. so i was wondering if i pulled the motor mounts out and the mid-shaft if i would have to re shim my motor or can i just use the stock shims??? thanx james

i had my stock one on there and i had problems with it getting water in it so i went to the aftermarket ones and they get water in to but not as bad

whats the best filter setup for dual 38's on a superjet to keep water out. right now im running fly ProK filters with a pre filter and it does ok but not good enough, u can see a milky residue in the filter cone which it oil and water mixed. did a search couldnt find much thanx james

if u read my original post tho i talked about using like 1 1/2 thru hull bildge fitting's with tubes on them to control the water and put it in the bottom of the hull and place the fitting in places where little water gets in

i was looking at my hood and looking for ways to save weight so i was thinking if i took the inside liner out and the removed the foam and everything and took like two or three 1 1/2" thru hull fitting and placed them in spots where water wouldnt be so easy to get in and have tubes come from...

y not take a motor and run a dyno test. and after each pull take the tank and carbs and clean them and then swap oils. my theory would be that the oil that reduces friction the most must add a few RPM's, HP #'s, or Torque #'s. but also it the motor wears more because of one oil being crappy...
