I have the ATP. Added a little bit of low end snap over stock, minimal though. And it isn't obnoxiously loud, only slightly louder than stock. It also lowers the exhaust note of the SJ.
I personally haven't had to deal with a problem like this, but this is a great thread full of useful information for if I ever do. Good luck with the ski!
I gotta keep looking for used.. not much around here and a new Triton would run me a grand anyway plus the work and money I would have to put in to the trailer to get it SJ ready.
I'll keep looking around for used ones in the mean time.. can't ride for another 4-5 months anyway.
Has anybody tried one of these trailers? They make a models specifically for stand-ups and ship anywhere in the US for free.
There website is here: http://www.magnetatrailers.com/pwctrailersaccessories/pwctrailers.html
Looks like its about $1350 for the galvanized double stand-up trailer...
Bought the BR8ES plugs and the ski started right up. Still haven't been out on the water but things are looking good now.
Is there a specific optimum torque for the spark plugs?
I just installed a Kommander girdled head (35 cc domes) and an EPIC ignition but I can't get the darn ski to start.
Do I need new plugs? The ones in there right now are the stock model B7HS NGK's.
The spark right now seems weak and inconsistent and won't get the ski to start up.
Thanks.
I will have to look for that sticky, thanks.
Also, when I was hooking up my battery negative battery lead sparked a bit when it touched the terminal on the battery.. is that normal? Thanks.
I've got those, and I'm pretty sure it is wired up correctly. Is it normal for the spark plug to only spark every couple seconds when the engine is turning over?
Don't mean to thread jack, I just got my ski all back together (head and epic) and went to start but can't get it to start up. It is turning over but can't get it to fully start up.
I looked at the plug but it seems to be only sparking every couple seconds when I am trying to start it.. is that...
Just getting around to setting up my ski for the summer. For installing the nose piece for the Gen IV hood, the front 2 screws. How did you guys screw those in? Drill 2 small pilot holes and then screw the screws in?
Thanks.
I haven't had trouble getting the nose up with my feet in the holds and am pretty comfortable riding with my feet in the holds at most riding speeds.
I would like to try full length slots but my holds are in and the tray has mat on it so I don't want to cut it all up yet. Maybe when I...
