ski looks great. Turf is incredible. White is a had color to keep clean. I even used an entire can of scotch gaurd on mine and it gets dirty pretty quick. If you use a nylon brush just as u pull it off the water it cleans up nice. Once it bakes in the sun forget about it. big props on the ski again.

Is the motor all stock/oem or does it have aftermarket parts? I would go back through the carbs first and give everything a good cleaning. Check the basket in the carb and clean it out. It should be clean in the first place. Do all the standard checks: new plugs, compression, leakdown...

If you run no-foam use the versa plugs. No matter how well you seal the back up, water always finds a way in.

the ski realy rose out of the water prior to the boat wake. Doesnt take much to get that thing airborn.

If it starts up do not change the starter selonoid. The selonoid allows the ski to start. That sounds like an un-warranted replacement. It may be the coil though. replace one component at a time. start with the coil.

DJ how do u like the vilder. I had it on my motor a couple years ago and didnt notice a big increase. Cheapest power on a kawi motor (after factory pipe) is to re-cut the head and get squish cut for 93 octane. Run the msd enhancer with timing advance plate and the retard module.

Just milling your head leaves you open for detonation. You must adjust the squish band as stated above. Some people get away with out doing it and others dentonate. The cost is a minimal diffrence between just milling it and getting the squish set for the octane you want to run.

as far as the kawi mag pumps for a heavily modded bigbore 850 what are the advantages for going with the 145mm over the 142mm or vice versa. Low end performnace in mind.
