Yea, be aware that this specific tank barely clears my hood (less than an inch), and the nub that is nearest to the flywheel cover is required to be ground-out for placement. Basically it fits all around within an inch (which is extremely lucky because I bought it on a whim).

^^ Do you ever make you way to Wisconsin? I have a group of riders that come out with me (2-4 people). You should come ride sometime!
Top of hood is finally how I want it to look.
Tank fits with half an inch to spare! Hahaha super lucky...
Well... Here are some updates. I foamed the bottom up, got the base of the tray laid, and received my new waterbox. Can't wait to here this cat purrrrr...
^^^ I am going to use foam to fill in all the voids and essentially just make a smooth looking stub nose. It will round out to the bottom deck...
New 3 Gallon Black-Anodized Fuel Cell came in from Jegs.com!
It looks sick and has cell-foam pre-installed from the packaging...

So the vacuum bag on the initial layup was poorly utilized and we fixed our approach on the second lay. The initial side we laid up has lines from excess epoxy-resin that needs to be sanded carefully off... Both sides are laid and I am moving to the tray next.
Updates.
Layed up the sides with a kevlar Tape, a few layers of glass and two layers of carbon. Followed by some vacuum bagging plastic to allow for easy working of the resin and to promote a good bond between the hull and lay-up.
Second half of the hood is currently drying, and the...
I agree with them ^^ If anything, make it a 'side-exhaust only' and have it exit the hull within the engine-bay...
This way, it will save you weight and time if you melt it to nothing.
Yea, but the pole gives you different riding capabilities... It's not 'less' control, it is 'different' control. The pole puts your physical movements to the nose of the ski, whereas the fixed steer puts all of the movement into the center of the hull... This difference can play a big role in...
Your rails looked widened already... Were they previously widened when you bought this ski or did you do it yourself?
I am looking for more ideas on this topic, currently I plan on using Balsa Wood Core and just cutting it to length...

Okay, quick question... Why did you go "fixed steer"?
I mean... I love the pole, but is there another reason besides being different that you decided to go that route?

And more... I am committed to the stubby nose...
Figured if I am gonna go all out, I might as well prepare the hull for a 1000cc engine that I want to install next winter...
